We had a cassette tape with the original Jabba the Hutt.

Back then, Han Solo's words to Jabba made visual sense, and Jabba the Hutt was just a dude named The Hutt.

The following movies were quite confusing, in the sense that Jabba the Hutt was no longer THE Hutt, but rather A Hutt.

Imagine if Jabba the Hutt was still just a dude named The Hutt. Imagine how ridiculously powerful a regular dude would have to be to not only own a criminal empire, but also impose his own invented language across multiple species as their main language of communication.

That would make Jabba the Dude Hutt significantly more powerful than The Empire and Palpatine, as they still had significant difficulty convincing citizens to speak Common.
