Stimm Lab
Description
At some point while learning the Hive Scum, I realized that by using the custom stimm lab, with the availability of reload speed, and rending, and the rending on Rampage/Desperado, in conjunction with the Pickpocket ability, they basically have the ability to make any melee or ranged weapon work. You can uzi or catachan sword a crusher down. It won't be ammo or time efficient, and definitely not as strong as other options, but it's totally doable.
So, I wanted to try to make the Quickdraw Agripinaa work, and work it does. Ironically, I don't take rending in the stimm lab, because the gun has the unique Hand Cannon Blessing, to give you 60% rending on a crit already. So investing in Crit made more sense, since you'll be critting your pants already.
The main idea of the build is to pull back the hammer (alt-fire) on your revolver, and unload every bullet into a crusher's face. Most of the time, they die. Even on Rotten Armor. When you really need to go to town, pop your stim, or pop Desperado (or both). Desperado isn't really even necessary but I think it's highlighting helps a lot with target acquisition and sort of like Castigator's stance, allows you to clear a room of threats when your team is pinned down, giving you a clear role within the team.
I thought about taking Blackout Grenades as your Blitz for CC, but really it just gets in the way of headshotting things. This build requires a pretty good handle on dodging and positioning, as you need to not be afraid to get in a Crusher's grill and blow his head off. Though you really don't need to be all that close.
And with this build you're primarily elite, specialist, and ranged deletion. But! Unloading all rounds into a monstrosity's face does a lot of damage. And the shivs are pretty elite themselves, so you can build them as I did, and potentially swap a talent out for poison on crit to DoT bosses to death, or build them to be more of a dueling weapon with Finesse on dodge or something. Both are very effective. The main thing is that you're effective into anything with either weapon.
I found that even without rampage, and hyper critical, or poison on crit, this build will still mow through hordes with melee since you're critting almost constantly and stacking 8-16 stacks of bleed on mobs. It's not quite as satisfying as using Hyper Critical though, and since that talent doesn't apply to ranged, I thought the point was better elsewhere.
You can always tailor it to your liking but I found this combination best for me.
So far tested up to Havoc 30, but I honestly think it's viable for 40. It only really works because of pickpocket being OP as nothing else will really allow you to empty your clip on every elite you come across (if you want). But it's nice to see a build where the Quickdraw revolver can shine outside of being a specialist killer since it was patched to have less rending and carapace dmg.
It can get a little old, since its repetitive. But it was fun to get creative and make the gun work.
