After the hive scum's most recent rework it has made elements of the build IMMENSELY more powerful and one of my new favorite builds, largely due to some of the new talents that have been added.
WEAPONS: Improvised Mk I Shivs+Branx MKII Needle Pistol

- As a melee centric build we'll be utilizing the shivs not only for their fast attack speed but for their immense single target damage with heavy attacks.
Perks:
- Carapace
- Elites (Optional Unyielding, however I find that our boss/bulwark/reaper damage is fine without it)Blessings:
- Haymaker as our blessing along with the talents Hyper-Critical and Hyper-Violence give you a myriad of ways to delete targets instantly, regardless of your method of attack.
- Uncanny Strike To crack open those crushers, bosses, and anything else that happened to survive our first heavy attack.
- The ranged weapon doesn't matter at the end of the day, use what you like. The needle pistol however is far too strong as a no-think, swap to it and delete a ranged target, option for us not to consider.

- Free Slot (Carapace, Elites, Reload, Sprint Efficiency, Flak.)
- Unyielding

- Toughness OR Stamina curios, this is based purely on your skill level. More stamina curios will get you more damage due to the Swift Endurance talent but of course you will be more squishy.
- On the perks, take triple toughness and AT LEAST two gunner resistance, the rest is preference.
BLITZ: Boom Bringer/Chem Grenade

- Which way do you want to delete hordes?
- Blackout grenades are good BUT require a talent into Pocket Toxin to be truly useful. If you want to go that route, I'd recommend dropping Hyper-Violence
AURA: Anarchist

- More crit gooder
- The melee increase from Ruffian is amazing and a highly viable alternative, you're basically choosing between slightly higher chances of higher damage or slightly more consistent damage.
ABILITY: Rampage!

- We're a melee build, this should be a given
KEYSTONE: Chemical Dependency

- Taking this for the ability cooldown and bonus crit chance
- If you want to play safe and take Chem Fortified for the defense, remove Hyper-Violence
STIMM:

- Top-right segment with critical chance to increase the chances of our stabs nuking our targets.
- Bottom-left segment is optional, you can swap the attack speed for whichever you feel or remove that segment entirely for a lower cooldown if you prefer that playstyle.
Additional Notes:

- The talents Slippery Customer and Nimble are personal preference and either can be swapped for Alley Rat or Jittery if you prefer. MANY people swear by Jittery due to you being able to dodge damn near infinitely with little drawback because of how fast you get your dodges back. Of course if you're a maniac you can drop the two points entirely and move them to more damage nodes (Wouldn't recommend)
