Description
posted 7/6/2026. updated on the 9th with: H20 tested and counting. works like a charm on auric and auric maelstrom.
the socketron brand brush clearer.
i've used this in many quick play auric runs, have gotten plenty of clutches. i've used this on auric maelstroms with success, and am working my way up havoc using it currently.
many rending with the blades as well as attack speed buffs to melt through armor on top of brittleness from voltaic. burns bosses pretty quick as well (cylinder dump it with the pistol on auto-refill for best results).
the pistol's good to pick targets off that may be causing issues like bombers, gunners, and snipers. should take one or two shots to do so and if you're crowded, hit voltaic to get a few seconds to take a good shot if they're far.
revive servo in case anyone gets downed or netted for quick pickups without having to tank hits during the pickup. comes in clutch if more than one person gets downed at once.
three or so headshots should take down a crusher (if they survive, burn stacks or a couple slashes should finish them off), 2 headshots for the ogryn gunners should do, and one for basically everything else.
just blades on basically anything should burn it down pretty quick as well (assuming you're using them correctly). that coupled with teammates putting damage on them makes it all supa-quick.
use voltaic on cooldown if you want, it comes back up pretty quick. holding it until 2 or 3 charges turns you into a whirlwind of rending slashes that can almost swing faster than you can click. if you want to hold it at all for tougher runs, save for if your toughness dips, or if you see an armored group come in so you can weaken armor and cc them.
correct blade use:
make sure to have the lights going from tip toward your hands when attacking more heavily armored enemies and moving from hand to tip when clearing horde. aim high on horde mobs that have armor to easily slash through unarmored heads.
another easy way to tell if you're on the correct mode without having to stop swinging is if there's a stab in the light attack combo or if the swings are more from overhead, you're on the armor piercing mode. unarmored is the weedwhacker mode where you've got the horizontal only swings.
