honestly the ranged weapon doesnt actually matter use whatever you want it's a melee build more than anything
spam voltaic whenever you feel like the team is getting overwhelmed, once you hit max stacks on power overload you can spam even harder
you can pivot this into a chord claw build if you want but you will lose utility somewhere to be able to do that
