Description
Fent Mode Chud Tweaker
A fast, aggressive crit-heavy dodge build for Hive Scum built around staying in the enemy's face, constantly moving, dodging attacks, and turning those dodges into even more damage.
The main idea is simple: get into melee, keep moving, keep dodging, and keep swinging. The build rewards aggressive play while still giving you plenty of survivability through mobility and stamina.
How the Build Works
This build revolves around Rampage, Anarchist, Adrenaline Frenzy, and Boom Bringer, with a heavy focus on crits and dodge-based bonuses.
You're meant to stay extremely mobile instead of sitting back and playing safe. Get into the horde, start swinging, dodge constantly, and use the bonuses from the build to keep your damage rolling.
The more comfortable you are fighting inside a horde and dodging attacks instead of backing away from them, the better this build feels.
Improvised Mk I Shivs
The Improvised Mk I Shivs are the main weapon of the build.
I'm running:
Uncanny Strike — Weakspot hits build Brittleness, helping the Shivs deal with tougher armored targets.
Precognition — This is a huge part of the build. A successful dodge gives +45% Finesse Damage for 2 seconds.
That means dodging isn't just defensive — it's part of your damage rotation.
Dodge → attack → dodge → attack.
Since the Shivs already have great mobility, attack speed, crit/weakspot scaling, and up to around 5 dodges with good Mobility, you can constantly reposition while keeping Precognition active.
Aim for weakspots whenever possible to stack Uncanny Strike while taking advantage of the extra Finesse Damage from Precognition.
Branx MkVI Needle Pistol
The Needle Pistol is mainly there to complement the extremely aggressive playstyle rather than turn the build into a traditional ranged setup.
I'm using:
Run 'n' Gun — Allows you to hipfire while sprinting, gives extra close-range damage while sprinting, and reduces weapon spread.
Stripped Down — Gives you ranged attack immunity while sprinting as long as you're above 50% Stamina.
This lets you stay on the move even when ranged enemies start lighting up the team.
Instead of slowly taking cover and trading shots, you can use the Needle Pistol while closing the distance and then immediately transition back into melee.
Stamina Is VERY Important
You'll notice I'm running two +3 Stamina Curios, with additional Stamina Regeneration.
That's intentional.
Stamina helps support the entire playstyle: sprinting, dodging, blocking, pushing, repositioning and keeping Stripped Down available while closing the distance against ranged enemies.
The third Curio gives extra Toughness so you aren't completely sacrificing survivability for mobility.
Basic Gameplay Loop
Sprint into the fight → Dodge an attack → Proc Precognition → Spam Shivs → Aim for weakspots → Build Uncanny Strike → Keep dodging → Keep the Rampage going.
Use the Needle Pistol when you need to deal with something at range or while you're closing the gap.
Once you're in melee range, the Shivs take over.
Don't stand still and facetank everything. This build gets much stronger when you're actively moving around enemies and using dodges offensively.
Strengths
High Crit Damage
The build is heavily focused around crits and Finesse damage.
Excellent Horde Clear
Fast attacks combined with Rampage let you chew through hordes while staying mobile.
Great Mobility
You're constantly sprinting, dodging and repositioning.
Strong Survivability
Instead of relying purely on tankiness, you're surviving by avoiding damage altogether while maintaining Toughness and stamina.
Armor Support
Uncanny Strike stacking Brittleness helps compensate against heavily armored enemies.
Very Aggressive Playstyle
You don't have to sit behind cover waiting for an opportunity. You create the opportunity by sprinting directly into the fight.
Final Notes
This build is for people who want Hive Scum to feel like an absolute crackhead running through the Mourningstar at Mach 5.
Keep moving.
Keep dodging.
Keep stabbing.
Keep the Rampage going.
Welcome to Fent Mode.
