This build is made out of the items that I have in my inventory at the time of posting it. There's a couple of things that I'd like to change, but until the RNG shop gods bless me (or the crafting system gets released) I'm stuck with what I have, and therefore I'm listing everything that I'm currently using on my Damnation runs here instead of making this into an ideal build that I haven't tested. Once I get my hands on some better weapons / curios for my Psyker I'll update this build. I'll also probably make a guide for the Gunslinger Psyker playstyle somewhere in the future.

 

The most important thing about Psyker that a lot of people misunderstand is that Brain Bursts are your primary weapon. It's not the staffs, it's not the melee weapons, it's not even the guns. The ability to oneshot Gunners / Shotgunners / Trappers / Bombers from any range and from behind cover is invaluable. Anything that you don't kill you'll inflict massive damage on, and the Autopistol lets you finish these threats off with it's instant quickdraw and a quick volley. This includes Hounds, both types of Ragers, Maulers and Bulwarks. Don't use your Autopistol as a primary, you'll run out of ammo very quickly and you'll struggle with damage. Nobody likes a Psyker that steals all the ammo and doesn't contribute anything to the team.

 

Maintaining the maximum amount of Warp Charges is very important for the extra damage as well as the Peril Resistance from your level 10 talent, letting you use one more Brain Burst before having to vent. This lets you kill Crushers and Reapers without having to use your ultimate or having to vent Peril as long as you're at 0% Peril when you start your cycle.

 

Essence Harvest gives you a good bit of regen that lets you peek your head out of cover after Brain Bursting something to lock onto another enemy without fearing that one stray bullet will stop your Toughness from regenerating. Kinetic Shield is good for the same purpose. I don't take Mind in Motion on level 20 as I usually stay in cover a lot when using Brain Bursts, so the damage reduction from Kinetic Shield is more valuable to me ESPECIALLY with how much of a glass cannon Psyker is.

 

Cerebral Lacerations and Kinetic Flayer pair extremely well with the Autopistol. This weapon can struggle with damage at times, so having an extra 15% damage after Brain Bursting something is very nice to have when facing tougher enemies. Because of it's high rate of fire it's very likely that you'll get a random Brain Burst out of Kinetic Flayer when shooting at something tanky, like a Mutant, Mauler or a Reaper. You can also combo Bulwarks by opening them up with a Brain Burst and then following it up with an Autopistol volley to the face when they're stunned. Try it out in the Meat Grinder.

 

Kinetic Barrage at level 30 makes the entire class for me (not just the build) and I honestly thing it should be in the base kit for Psykers. This talent lets you keep up with Veterans when it comes to killing specials and helps you in maintaining your Warp Charges. If you're fighting the horde and you're about to run out of Warp Charges quickly use your ultimate, Barin Burst a single enemy and go back to fighting. You'll have enough time to pull this off thanks to the stagger from your ultimate. Just make sure you're not surrounded.

 

The Mk II Tactical Axe with Brutal Momentum is genuinely amazing at handling hordes. Thanks to it's fast swing speed and good damage combined with what is essencially infinite cleave from it's blessing you can absolutely melt hordes in seconds. It's also got good dodges and the stamina regen starts incredibly fast, so you can use push attacks very often for extra crowd control and a quick attack with a good headshot angle.

 

All of this combined makes for a very versatile build that you can fit into any teamcomp and do well with. I've clutched the elevator event on Magistrati Obulette with it where all of my teammates were dead at the start of it on Damnation with High Intensity. It's incredibly strong if you can force the enemies to fight you in a closed space and you know what you're doing.
