This class can do everything as long as you are a competent player.
All weapons need low warp resistance to allow for peril quelling to be very effective as well as high quell speed.
The sword will melt hordes faster than any Illisi can.
Trauma staff is for the ability to stagger everything to allow for your sword to do the work i.e: Trapper is close, stagger, dodge toward trapper, empower sword, kill trapper, rinse repeat.
Too overwhelmed to use your sword on specials? That's ok 3 2/3rd's charged seconds with the staff will kill most specials/ elites 3 fully charged will kill a crusher. Combine this with Kinetic flayer and you BB many many many elites and specials in hordes since most of the time a Kinetic flayer prioritizes special and elites.
Kinetic flayer works on enemies staggered outside your second's circle of influence. Helps with quick ranged clears.
Trauma is the best staff in the game hands down since it can do everything except stun muties which as of this update (patch 9) are a joke anyways.
