XIV Recon Lasgun - The XIV has double the cleave of other variants, and has essentially the same DPS. Heavy Laspistol is a stronger but similar weapon.

Perks:

  • Crit Chance - Vet base crit chance was nerfed from 10% to 5%, this will help account for that
  • Maniac - Great for most specialists

Blessings:

  • DumDum/Headhunter - Significant increase to damage, also increases burn damage. Headhunter is good but we have a lot of far more consistent Critical strike options built in.  Close range damage is max at 8m, and falls gradually the further you are away from them.
  • Infernus - a lot of boss damage and damage to high life enemies like Ogryn. DumDum is a fine alternative for more direct damage to specialists.

Combat Axe - A very strong horde clearing weapon with powerful lights to take most advantage of our attack rate increase.

  • Flak - common enemy you can't just ignore in hordes.
  • Elite -  More damage vs enemies we need axe for, can be replaced by Mutant.

Blessings:

  • Headtaker - consitent damage increase, can be replaced by Decimator for more damage or Shred if you want to use Exploit Weakness.
  • All or Nothing - We consistently change and use Deadshot draining our Stamina, so this blessing gives a ton of value. Brutal Momentum is a great replacement.

Deadshot, Reciprocity, and Opening Salvo will mean we are always getting a lot of criticals, so Shock troop will give a good amount of value keeping us high on ammo.

Marksman Focus is not the most effective option in some ways due to the low finesse bonuses of the recon lasgun. On the flip side, Chink in their Armor offers 10% more rending which is incredibly good on recon lasguns due to their low armor damage, and Tunnel Vision gives 10% stamina on headshot kill which will allow us to have infinite stam while blasting into hordes trying to kill high priority targets nestled in the middle of them. Camo is pretty replaceable, the nice thing about it is being able to easily build stacks while fighting bosses so you can get the extra Rending.

Chink in their Armor + Rending strikes means we do full, or near full damage to all armor types that aren't carapace so Onslaught simply isn't needed. While we are losing Reciprocity on the right side tree also... I find the up time on that for ranged weapons specifically to be very low.

Rending strikes also improves our combat axe, so Heavy strikes will do full damage to carapace.

Superiority Complex while good, it is a 15% additive bonus, which means vs anything that is Flak, Maniac or Unyielding 10% rending will offer significantly more damage for our ranged weapon. Replacing Bring it Down is fine. I find Demo Team offers more utility due to Auric+ having so many specials/elites per minute you will often get 20-30 grenades from it.
Camo is another potential replacement as you don't need it for anything but getting stacks while fighting bosses.
