Description
Speed and dodge to avoid being hit

Ragers turn quick and hurt, slide back, throw a knife
Crushers reach far and hurt, slide back, shoot them
Stealth can be used for a number of practical situations:
Regen toughness - Even if you keep swinging, toughness increases quickly when stealth drops
Reload - While it's not as bad as the bolter, sometimes the choice is death or reload
Disengage boss/monstrosity/special attacks - Keep from dying by getting them to stop targeting you
Avoid that swarm of hounds/mutants - Deafening screaming? Howls in the distance? Not for you
Pick up downed allies - People like to go down, fix this problem unmolested
Real life - Take a second to have a drink of that coffee without worrying about e-death
You can essentially zip between groups of enemies, and avoid taking the bulk of ranged damage by clearing the gap and putting the AI into melee mode. Yes, rushing into a group of gunners is a viable option with high survivability. The raw damage is not the peak of the game, but once you're past the learning curb the speed and the utility makes this build all but unkillable outside of the worst situations the AI director can imagine. Sometimes the game does just want you dead, and there's no amount of skill or luck that will save you from that.
///WARNING/CAUTION\\\: It is more than easy enough to wind up miles ahead of the team. Don't do this. You are perfect for zipping ahead and disabling large groups of ranged enemies that are harassing the team, but eventually you'll put yourself in THAT situation. You're going to get trapped, and your team will not be able to get to you in time. Try not to do this by turning around frequently to see the progress of your team's psyker, as they're usually the slowest and most likely to be downed.
Always remember: Just keep swimming, just keep swimming. The moment you stop moving during the fight, or get trapped, you will be dead. You are not a traditional tank. You are a speed tank.
