Even though Rending is really good with the Infantry Lasgun, the keystone modifier "Chink in their Armor" can be dropped to pick up the crate upgrade "Field Improvisation" talent, which is probably overall better.
Can also melt down bosses with enough weakspot hits. Voice of Command's stagger is really useful for this.
With max keystone stacks you can also easily kill crushers with the Infantry Lasgun.
Incredibly tanky against ranged enemies, really safe againts overwhelming specialist waves and silent bursters with Voice of Command. WIth the toughness damage reduction talents and weakspot kills you can really tank all the shooters and gunners and still be fine, with Voice of Command as a second toughness bar.
Can also be played with the Mg XII Lasgun, which will let you one shot most specialists and gunners, however the Mg Ia's dps is much higher than the Mg XII's.
