These giants were adults during the Unification War who were recruited and genetically modified - based on the Emperor's Plans - to fight in the Unification War on Terra (Earth).
Their fate has been believed in Recorded Humanity's History to have all died at the end in a final and glorious battle to unify Terra but the truth is that they were betrayed at the end of the Unification War by the Emperor's Order when he ordered his army of Adeptus Custodes and a few Astartes to round them all up and kill the Thunder Warriors.Today only a few or even a handful still lives by life-rejuvination treatment or other enhancement giving that they weren't made to live long than the average human at the time. You are one of these last living Thunder Warrior who have been embarked on an Imperial Penitentional Ship by the Inquisition, the reason may have been because you were declared Heretic and a danger to the Ecclesiarchy and Imperial Cult for being able to or turn people against the God-Emperor. What happened next is up to you but what is sure is that the ship was attacked by the Moebian XIth and you may be forgiven by the Inquisition if you help them on Atoma Prime
