3.5-5% Strength for 3.5s on Hit. Stacks 5 times.
5-8% Strength for 4.5s on Kill. Stacks 5 times.
18-30% Toughness on Elite Kill.
You can Hipfire with this weapon while Sprinting. 6-15% Close Damage while Sprinting. Also reduces weapon spread at all times by 30%.
Have you ever wanted to try a melee only veteran with the strength, speed and regeneration of a Blood Angel?? Well, it's time to rip and tear.
This build is primarily melee and solely focused on this specific model of chain axe for its attack patterns and usage.
Your dodges are going to be an effective way to build critical bonus with reciprocity. As well as avoid hits from mobs when focusing on bigger targets.
First off because it's a melee build the smoke grenades are a useful boon in open areas to close the distance with snipers and gunners or can be used to obscure you from them when you're about to fight a mob and need to focus.
Your crit chance, stagger, and damage output absolutely akin to astartes level of slaughter.
The revolver comes into play for quickly dispatching gunners and snipers, it will take a lot of skill to use it as fast and efficiently as possible however with this build, the swap is so fast there's nearly zero downtime or animation for that matter, you press the swap key and you'll go from your axe right to iron sights, dispatch the enemy sniper and swap right back to your axe.
Speaking of the chain axe, the blessings i have displayed are incredibly important, you'll max your stacks in a couple seconds and essentially double your damage output, especially with reciprocity crit bonus stacks.
Light attacks are going to be your main focus for stunlocking armored enemies, elites, and ogryns alike. Don't be afraid to get in the face of a crusher and shred them, you will win every fight if you close the gap. Dodges are going to be very prominent when fighting specialist waves of melee enemies.
Heavy attacks are used for only CC but it's a good way to gain your head taker and slaughterer blessing stacks as well as stack TOT(Toughness over time, I'll be referring to this) you will be able to keep everyone in coherecy consistently on regen with this due to the born leader passive giving them 15% of any toughness you gain. As well as your shout and shout CD being fast recovering. Be aware shout won't knock enemies behind shields. However bulwarks aren't a problem as long as you keep using light attacks to stagger them with shred.
Most enemies get ripped apart with 1 swing light or heavy.
Remember heavy for CC on mobs and nothing else.
Primarily use smoke to close gaps
And the only effective and efficient time to use your Rev is against monstrosities and bosses. A Rev attack against a boss will take about 15-20% of their health in damnation.
When paired with a zealot or shield ogryn you'll keep their toughness up and be able to focus on armored targets and unyielding enemies which your chain axe WILL stunlock.
This build doesn't need extra wounds if you pay attention, you'll hardly lose your toughness as long as your team is competent at best. I hardly ever even lose 1 wound on damnation save for corruption build up. Also the keystones don't mean anything in this build.
Another note you have +30% weakspot damage and that applies to your shred ticks so aim for their face.
