The idea is to generate peril with Assail against hordes, scattered shooters, and non-Crusher elites (with a healthy mix of both LMB and RMB) then blow your load with Venting Shriek + Creeping Flames once at 85% peril (obviously activate sooner if it'll save you from getting mauled). Your IA5 fills in the gaps including special cleanup while your knife is for mobility, melee defense, and anti elite support (including Crushers - its your only answer for them). You can spam knife's push attack on Psyker - it's sustainable thanks to your innate 0.5s stamina regen delay and generally safe thanks to Kinetic Deflection. KD scales with relative block cost so a +3 stamina curio allows you to hold block for a surprisingly long time. Uncanny helps expedite killing elites and bosses when they're soulblazed and/or bleeding.Mind your Assail use around barrels, daemonhosts, and poxbursters. Assail's boomeranging can actually knock bursters closer to you or teammates.
