5-8% Strength for 4.5s on Kill. Stacks 5 times.
Up to 14-20% Strength, scaling with Peril.
Gain between 3.5-5% and 14-20% Critical Chance based on current level of peril.
Target receives up to 2-8 Stacks of 2.5% Brittleness, scaling with charge time of Secondary Attack. Debuff lasts for 5 seconds and can have a maximum of 16 stacks.
Another pretty safe build, this one focuses on crowd control; Staggering large groups of heavy enemies.
This build excels in those "scab only, mostly melee" levels where you get set upon by packs of crushers. A charged secondary will put them all on their backs and then your sword can finish the job.
Rending Shockwave on the staff is important, as well as +carapace on the sword. These are what allow you to delete maulers and crushers quickly.
The Trauma staff does have a ranged primary attack, but as usual Brain Burst tends to be more reliable. You could swap it for smite here but then you're relying more on teammates to deal with distant enemies.
Like the Voidstrike staff, you'll also struggle to clean up stragglers here. You want enemies that are all bunched together.
Otherwise, the biggest challenge with this build is just the Trauma staff's aiming system; It's sometimes hard to see exactly where your blast circle is, and geometry (Stairs) can be an issue sometimes too. It's also weaker in "mostly ranged" levels where you're relying more on brainburst.
