This is a crit build. You should finish matches with an average of 30% crit; Effectively every third shot is a crit.

 

The Columnus is my current choice as it can absolutely delete bosses. Great for those Lesser Monstrosity missions. 

 

The blessings I have on it mean you'll want to fire it in 4-shot bursts and aim just below the head. Let the recoil bring the aim up so you get headshots on the 3rd and 4th bullets - those are the ones which get all the bonus damage.

 

You can't rely on a gun for horde clear (because eventually you'll run out of ammo) so this build brings Assail. Use it to deal with hordes of poxwalkers or clean up stragglers. The secondary attack is also nice for dealing with distant enemies or just targeting a specific thing.

 

Scrier's Gaze is how you boost your damage; Pop it at 0% peril and then bring out your gun (or blade) and go to town. Try to avoid using Assail while this is active because it becomes REAL easy to blow yourself up.

 

The other way to boost your damage is to kill the highlighted targets from Disrupt Destiny. Each one gets you a bonus to speed, damage, crit, etc. So when possible, prioritize them.

 

The Combat Blade lets you move FAST, and allows you to dance in and around a horde without taking damage. Assail will run out of charges and you can swap to this to finish the job or just buy time. The +flak and +carapace also make it a good choice for dealing with Crushers, Maulers, Ragers, and other specials if you can get up close.

 

As a Gun Psyker (Gunker) you're competing for ammo and it's always a good idea to assume you'll run out and have to spend chunks of missions without your primary weapon. Between Assail and the Combat Blade you should be able to do that.
