You ever wanted to break 1K kills on Auric without breaking a sweat?

Pretty simple build that at face value most players will completely disregard, but in practice it's devastating. Lawbringer is generally considered low-tier, and for good reason; Agripinaa fairs well with Marksman's Focus for a gunner killer/special sniper, and Accatran can max fire stack with two specials, being especially useful against Bulwarks and supplementing boss DPS, while providing good results with No Respite.

So why Lawbringer?

Horde-clear.

Ranged horde-clear is rarely considered current patch, and that's totally understandable, pretty much no option can do it ammo efficiently besides Psyker staves, that is, except for a Lawbringer Vet. By stacking crits from various nodes as well as making use of Scattershot we'll be able to proc Man-Stopper, which will effectively delete everything in our point of aim.

It should be noted, the Lawbringers special does have tighter spread on ADS, but Deadshot + Man-Stopper are usually worth the sacrifice, and if you have enough stacks of Reciprocity and Scattershot you can hipfire instead.

In terms of usage, try to position yourself near the rear of the group. Playing tightly is optimal regardless of what build everyone is running on Auric. Getting good angles and deleting hordes as your allies take aggro will take a few games getting used to, but once you get into the flow you'll understand. Keep dodging around mostly ignoring nearby dregs/poxwalkers, although with good positioning you can bait them into your line of fire.

Shredder Frag Grenade

Most Vets opt for the Krak to deal some burst boss damage and anti-Crusher/Bulwark. Bosses on this build are generally handled by stacking bleed and using your Combat Blades high damage to handle them. That said this build won't be winning any awards in that category. For Crushers/Bulwarks a single Shredder can knock them on the ground, then finish them off with your Combat Knife, thanks to Uncanny Strike it won't be a problem.

Additionally, Shredders fit into this build fantastically by staggering enemies around us when we need spacing. They're also great for killing packs of Ragers, as two Shredders will guarantee their death.

Survivalist

Easily the best aura in the game, and combined with the efficiency of Lawbringer you won't be a massive ammo hog for your team. Not much needs to be said here.

Voice of Command

Similarly to Shredders VoC can clear the area around us. It's also the single best survivability tool for both you and your team in the game. We take Iron Will later down the line to further buff our durability while under the effects of VoC.

Talent Choices

I'll run by the justification for various talents in this section.

  • Charismatic: Allows for Survivalist and Voice of Command to apply more evenly across your team. Extremely slept on Talent.
  • Exhilirating Takedown: Usually a C tier Talent, but in this build you'll be multi-killing with weakspots constantly, making it fantastic.
  • Opening Salvo: Practically made for the Lawbringer. You should always try to keep your magazine topped up to proc it.
  • Critical Chance Boost Node: Helps us proc. Man-Stopper and Flesh-Tearer.
  • Iron Will: This applies to Voice of Commands overheal, making you extremely tanky.
  • Reciprocity: Usually mediocre, but due to the playstyle of dodging stray trash mobs while focusing on the main horde you'll proc it a lot.
  • Desperado: Fantastic melee buff for our Combat Knife

Lawbringer

I'll run by the justification for the weapon build in this section.

  • Flak %: Most common and problematic enemy type within hordes, as well as many Elites. Should be kept in here.
  • Reload %: More valuable than 5% crit chance, but optional.
  • Man-Stopper: While extremely good you can play around with Flechette if you'd want. Both work, although I find Man-Stopper reliable.
  • Scattershot: The developers probably made this Blessing just with the Lawbringer in mind.

Combat Knife

I'll run by the justification for the weapon build in this section.

  • Flak %: Most common and problematic enemy type within hordes, as well as many Elites. Should be kept in here.
  • Crit %: Helps us proc. Flesh Tearer. Can be substituted for Carapace % or Unyielding % for boss DPS.
  • Flesh Tearer: I didn't really believe it was viable until running the numbers, but ignoring Reciprocity we're operating at 5% base + 5% node + 5% on weapon + 10% from Desperado for a total of 25%, at max stacks we're at 50%~ very strong for emergency horde-clear and supplemental boss DPS.
  • Uncanny Strike: If you ever see a Combat Knife build without this blessing, you should disregard it completely. It's a must have, increasing your damage across the board especially to armored targets.

Curios

I'll run by the justification for the curios in this section.

  • 3 Stamina: Combat Knife has pitiful Stamina, +3 is mostly for allowing longer sutain of Deadshot and a bit safer revives. You can try playing without this but you'll probably come to agree it's very handy to have.
  • 1 Toughness + 1 Health: Combined with Toughness Perks we're operating at +32% Toughness and +21% Health. I find this balance more than usable on Auric Damnation.
  • Combat Ability Regeneration: Knocks off about 3.6 seconds from our Voice of Command. You can suppliment it with Health, Stamina Regeneration Speed, Toughness Recovery, or Block Cost Reduction for safer revives.
  • Damage Resistance (Gunners): In my personal opinion a must have on every single build. Gunners are unavoidable, omnipresent and without DR curious melt you instantly.
