Double-Barreled Massacre
 Veteran Build - Warhammer 40k: Darktide 

The concept behind this build is to seamlessly alternate between the Shotgun and the Duelling Sword when dealing with hordes, leveraging Always Prepared. As long as you secure a kill with the Sword before swapping to your Double-Barrelled Shotgun (DB), it will reload one of the two barrels. After firing the DB, you can switch back to the Sword, activating the powerful benefits of Weapon Specialist, and the cycle repeats—maintaining a constant flow of damage and efficiency.

Talent tree explanation:

One motion is a great talent for this type of build.

Confirmed Kill is amazing but the shotgun synergizes with Out for Blood more.

Shredder Frag Grenade is far and away the best blitz on Veteran. Works amazing with some of the best talents on the tree (demo team, demo stockpile). Make sure that you constantly throw grenades to get massive value from these talents. Good rule of thumb is the throw grenades at enemies if you have 2 or more grenades.

Survivalist is the strongest Aura on Veteran and is right under the best grenade. Obvious choice.

Voice of Command is in the running for strongest ability in the game when combined with Duty and Honor. Gold toughness is among the most powerful things in the game to have. Make sure to cast this often as the cooldown gets reduced by Tactical Awareness.

Precision strikes works on Dueling sword so its still amazing without a headshot ranged weapon.

Fully Loaded, Superiority Complex and Precision strikes are amazing in most all Veteran builds and give lots of damage and value.

Tactical awareness is great for reducing the cooldown of VoC and it stands in the way of 2 amazing talents.

Iron will applies to gold toughness as well. Unreal synergy for surviving.

Demolition Stockpile gives tones of grenades.

Reciprocity and Desperado are good talents on the Veteran tree and we will use melee quite a bit in this build.

Trench Fighter Drill is fine but Skirmisher is also a good talent.

Weapon Specialist and Always Prepared enable this build.

On your toes is a good talent but not necessary for the build to function, you could take something else like field improvisation instead.

Item  explanation:

Uncanny Strike applies to the bleed from Shredder grenades and helps us take down Crushers.

Duelling Sword is great with crit chance and Riposte gives lots of crit chance.

Manslaughter and Scattershot are there to try and kill as many enemies as possible. Other blessings might be good as well.

One +max stam  curio helps a lot for everything. Two toughness curios synergize with our damage resistance.

Combat ability regeneration is amazing and is a must take on all curios. A mix of Stamina regeneration, toughness, sprint efficiency and block cost reduction is good at users preference.
