I've been running pretty much this build for a year or two now as a psyker. Even before the major patch and rework of the talent and weapons system. It's a fun build, you can really protect your team and lead it safely at the same time using this build
The star of this build is the voidblast staff. One could say it may work best as a defensive weapon, but what's defense and offense when everything in this game just runs at you like disgusting filth that must be purged in the name of the emperor! Charge that sucker up whenever the big guys start getting close, then you can hit em with your knife
The mark VI combat blade is a secondary to the staff. Not a lot to say about it, the melee isn't the focus. I like the knife because it allows opportunities to get major damage on enemies during a well timed charge attack
Your shield is fantastic if you spec it correctly. Protects from ranged attacks and heals your toughness while you're inside. You need to focus on reducing ranged attackers to make the shield last longer, especially if you're in a bad position and you used the shield as a last resort
You only need +1 wounds if you're good. This build is solid enough to hold me over, it'll do the same for you
