Zealot
Weakspot Kills and Critical Strike Kills reduces Heat by 4-10% over 3s.
Hitting at least 3 enemies with an attack while weapon Special is active, regains 10-16% Toughness.
10% Critical Chance for every 0.3-0.45 second while aiming. Stacks 10 times. Discharges all stacks upon firing.
30-60% Rending on Critical Hit.
you're mostly spamming left click. swap to pistol to kill special units on-demand.
since you're swinging horizontally a lot its very very easy to get weakspot hits, i'm averaging about 600+ weakspot hits per match + 90 special enemies. so optimizing weakspot dmg stuff is the priority and horde clearing. you turn into a lineman who can really clear forward.
RELIC BLADE - Blessings(best to worst order imo)
Heatsink - is basically the best since you're killing very easily and non-charge left click can just MOWING heretics. aiming headlevel and just swinging procs weakspot so weakspot kills are very easy to achieve, also the forward stab is just badass and procs this very quick, so between hordes you can dump heat quick to get more special time.
Syphon - dramatically increases ur survivability. like dramatically, you might want damage, but this saves you wound damage and lets you still take dangerous fights(which is way more fun).ex: ur last up and have to clear a whole section to rez people. the extra toughness+heatsink dumping, its just alot of uptime and lots of toughness generating.
other options:
Wrath - getting cleave on demand just wacking anything is GR8. allows you to really deal with hordes and sometimes cleave 2-3 armored guys very quickly. when special is down you'll love this. but syphon is better since surviving.
Rampage - this sounds good, but its harder to get consistently hit. So you'd have to proc it through cleave, so during Weapon Special or going Wrath/Devastating Strike, but that means ur missing out on Heatsink to dump heat to get more Special/min.
Devastating Strike - since left clicking keeps the blade at headlevel you'll get headshots and +5% crit on the blade lets you crit way more, but there's situations where a horde just starts and you want cleave NOW, but you have to deal with armored dudes. this is where you either special/fury(charge) to force a crit, but you could've saved the charge for something else.
garbage options:
Cranial Grounding - this you might think is good, but it has a lower uptime than Heatsink. since special cleaves the shit out of people it works well, but what about if the enemies are spread a bit or farish after clearing a horde, well it's Chained weakspot hits and 3s drops pretty quick. so instakilling with a headshot might not count and ur getting less uptime. this is why Heatsink is top tier.
Counterattack/Energy Transfer- these are bad since you'll proc these mayb 3-4 times a match. where you could of just kept swinging or dodged.
Energy Leakage - its okay, you might be like YEH, but it's more for like OH-SHIT I NEED TO CARRY. but you could of just avoided that situation by being more consistent or having Heatsink clearing heat to special more often.
Overload - THE WORST OPTION, the aoe is so small and if enemies are staggers or knocked on the ground you have to aim down to hit them. which makes it way harder to get head shots.
Things to Practice. learning your dodge timings, i usually just go into the psychanium and do a lap on the outter edge of dodging. do 4 in a row then listen for 2 full steps repeat. it's a good warmup for not getting dodge screwed and jumping when you needed to dodge an overhead.
Slide spamming, its pretty easy, just slide and swing. doing this like 10-20 times is gr8. dodge -> slide swing. use this a lot when ur just swinging and clearing against a lot of gunners.
combos:
any stim -> weapon special -> fury(charge) -> left click charge(melee) -> poggers
mark snipers-> get cover -> line up the shot-> side dash -> shoot
GUNS:
Stub - kinda king but there's a lot of other options, that lets you focus on different things. since you take knives you're able to drop stub and just use knives, you'll need to have some good aim tho.
BOLTGUN - the most MAN weapon wielded by asstarts themselves. this thing is badass in so many ways. you can deal some serious damage to bosses, wreck armored boys, or clear a path like moses separating the ocean(its a beautiful experience) then relic sword special-> charge combo in hackin and wackin and smackin. since you go cavalcade u get crit% for magdumping into bosses. Surgical lets you do the stuby thing where you can 1 shot specials on demand, since it's a clunky weapon swap you would have to line up the shot prior to cover, but with time you'll pilot the weapon like an asstarts.(+25% Flak/+25% Unyielding || Cavalcade / Surgical)
Purgation Flamer - this weapon is a combo based weapon used similar to a fire/chain lightning Psyker works. you're looking clear waves with fire or BURN BOSSES BABY. the combo of fury(charge) and full auto'n the flamer lets you super mag dump. it works by Fury(charge) gives you a guarenteed crit and attack speed, the +5% crit chance perk increases crit chance, AND when you crit(everlasting flame) it gives you some ammo from ur other magazines(fuel tanks) which lets you MAG DUMP FIRE BABY. but yeah it's mostly for boss killin and big bois. it's kinda redudant for horde clearing since Relic Blade does the same thing, but you can level the Flamer fast this way.(and steal veteran ammo) (+5% crit change/+25% unyielding || EverLasting Flame / Blazeaway)
Double Barrel - IT'S BAD, but it's fun and can 1shot those charges flying by or ragers(unarmored). Full Bore + Both barrels lets you 1 shot a lot of stuff, which is nice, but you gotta pull the sword for horde clear, but if a charge is coming you can quick swap to the DB ez. the other combo would be Run n Gun + Speed load. you can't run Run N Gun/BothBarrels since you can't run and aim down sight(right click - ADS) so yeah. its niche, but fun(+25% unyielding/10% reload speed || Full Bore / Both Barrels)Talents: the jist is you're optimizing survivability and if you take wound damage, then you're swinging FAST AS FUCK BABY YUUEEUEAHAHAAHEAEH BOIIII and the relic blade's time-to-kill is so high for mobs is gr8.
this is why we skip Scourge since a weakspot headshot is usually a kill especially during Special.
Grievous Wounds - its really fuckin strong, since ur swinging headlevel you can get weakspots EZ
Duelist - just enables even more horde clearing, just dodge whenever. sure there's a lot of timings, but spamming it without jumping goes a long way, and if ur new it's better to just spam to get more experience using the tech.
Holy revenant/until death - get outta jail free card ever 2 mins. it's nice, high survivability with this. if ur cornered against 8 crushes+maulers you could eat one cuz ur just fucked and gain A LOT OF ATTACK SPEED from the wound system of this spec. this combo's with Thy Wrath be Swift since you can't be stunned.
Benediction - play with the team, or not. i have gotten lost in the sauce a lot.
Fury(charge) - reposition, guarenteed crit(could charge a heavy attack then Fury) take a big hit then charge to regain toughness, + attackspeed for ohshit moments, combos with any stims.
Martyrdom - DRAMATICALLY increases attackspeed, meaning you can kill FAST AS FUCK.
