Description
Description pending update: The skills and weapons have been updated though.
The purpose of this build is to click on heads and make the badmen cease existing immediately.
Also just casually never needing to reload or pick up ammo with a 70+ average crit chance :)
Weapons:
Lucius Mk IV Helbore Lasgun: I'm not a maths person I don't know the nitty gritty on DPS numbers, I just see big number I pick big number, Mk IV has the biggest number so I pick that. If you really hate the bayonete attack on this version then pick another version, I'm not your mom.
+2 stamina because Deadeye, +5% crit because Shock Trooper.
Weight of Fire: Lets you get those JUICY max charge shots out faster. I use a mod that automatically charges the rifle while you're aiming down sights and you can get faster fire rate than a regular lasgun with a couple stacks of this with monumentally more damage. Higher charge also = more ammo consumed but Shock-Trooper completely negates this with free shots on crit (even if you miss, if its a crit, it doesn't expend anything).
Surgical: More crit, more better. In the time it takes to charge your shot you'll have 20-30% extra crit chance, almost garunteeing your crit.
POWER FALCHION: Melee weapon is just a backup, user preference, but I love the power falchion its what I wish the regular power sword was but this is juicy good zap slash slash swish swoosh.
Block Efficiency is generally considered a total meme pick and that's fair but I have it just because you're usually switching to your melee after blasting away a bunch of enemies so your stamina is gonna be depleted. Making what little stamina you have count to block then shove the poxers closing in on you is a big help from avoiding damage while you fend them off.
2nd trait is a free space, put whatever tickles your jimmies in there.
Pick whatever blessings, I like Cranial Grounding & Heatsink for more powered time.
Curios:
Toughness x3: More toughness more staying alive. If you die a lot take a +1 wound trinket but you'll die even more.
Perks: Mixture of +toughness & +hp and damage/corruption resistances. The resistances stack multiplicatively so you get diminishing returns so better to get a spread of the kinds of enemies that'll give you grief, mostly other ranged enemies (Gunners, Bombers, Flamers, etc.) And of course corruption resist for when the match director decides its time for 7 beasts of nurgle to chase you round the map.
Talents:
Confirmed Kill, Covering Fire, Close Order Drill: Confirmed Kill is a no-brainer because you one-shot most elites, giving you tons of resist & regen. Covering Fire, you're mostly using your gun and one-tapping enemies, you'll be constantly healing your allies and giving them resistance. If they're good they don't need it but if you play with randoms there's no garuntee of that :)), besides the alternate options are fairly mid, Helbore does so much damage that it ironically doesn't benefit from damage boosts because you monstrously overkill targets. One motion is just not useful for this build, you shouldn't be weapon swapping that much.
Close Order Drill because duh you have no CHOICE.
Blitz: Shredder Grenade. Packs of chaff begone. Krak if you REALLY hate crushers or want to melt bosses but Helbore is already good at that, just land headshots.
Toughness, Iron Will, Field Improv, Opening Salvo, Catch a Breath: Toughness cause it connects to iron will and reloading is for CHUMPS, Iron Will because that damage resist at max toughness is a GODSEND. Field Improv is gigachad, resupplying your ogryns & zealots with their OP grenades and healing corruption + toughness with medpacks is *mwah*. Opening Salvo for MORE crit, and with each crit not spending ammo you'll be benefiting from this a lot. Whenever there's a lul in combat just reload to stay topped off.
Catcha a breath: YOU HAVE NO CHOICE. Its a good talent anyway.
Aura: Free space. Up to you.
Pick the free grenade every 60s its bumpin.
Executioner's Stance: The juicy bang bang ability. Whenever there's elites or gunners or anything that'd be highlighted by this, hit the button and click on heads. This is especially amazing for clearing rooms of trash mob gunners and elite gunner/shotgunner patrols as trash mob gunners can't be highlighted, so while your team beats the poxwalker/brawler meat you're clearing house on all the ranged jackasses. Keep your head on a swivel especially for snipers & bombers.
I take counter-fire to highlight enemy shooters, ogryns are huge, everyone can see them, enhanced target priority just makes allies steal your kills which will deprive you of duration extensions. Just manually tag any elites your team should be focusing.
Duck & Dive, Leave No One Behind, Tactical Awareness, Toughness Boost: D&D Lets you convert dodges into stamina and use Deadshot more while trading fire with enemy gunners. Leave No One Behind is a free space tbh but I like the middle one cause less time picking up team mates and more time killin' 'eretics. Tactical awareness lets you Executioner's more and 25 more toughness is just real nice to have. Alternatively rending talent but Helbore already has a lot of armor penetration, especially when charged.
Deadshot, Fully Loaded, Shock-Trooper, Lock & Load: Deadshot & Shock-Trooper are how you never run out of ammo. +25% crit doubles your crit chance the second you zoom in and then a second of charging your gun with surgical you're pushing 80+% crit chance, if not more with team aura buffs. Start blastin'. Fully Loaded you don't get a choice, Lock & Load gives a wider window to benefit from Opening Salvo.
Marksman's Focus: Previously I took focus fire because MMF was just bad. But since the Vet rework its actually so solid now. Its super easy to get & maintain stacks with just a couple of shots, not needing to crab walk to hold on to them feels so good and getting more stacks per weakspot kill you can get 15 stacks EASY.
Finnesse Damage is a bonus to specifically CRIT and WEAKSPOT damage, but ONLY the extra damage you get from crits & weakspots. Lucky for us, we're always critting and always going for weakspots. With 15 stacks you can two-tap Crushers with a double headshot. Take all the keystone nodes for +toughness replenishment, stamina replenishment (synergizes with deadshot), 15% rending (instakill maulers with a headshot) and 5 more stacks (an extra 40~% finesse damage and wiggle room to benefit from the rending).
If any math nerds wanna fine-tune this feel free, this is just my favorite build, clicking on heads is so satisfying more than ever, I liked this build even when it was bad now its actually great (not as good as VoC Weapon's Specialist but nothing is).
