Description
A build formulated mainly to 'cover all my bases', and make a build for each weapon the Arbite has access to (cause why not, their variety is so heavily strapped as it is so might as well make the most of it). This one thusly being made to utilize the Shredder pistol, and honestly? I'm pretty happily surprised with it's performance.
It's not the most magical think in the world, but it 'shreds' specials quite well with a crit set up. That crit damage bump they gave it a bit back feels pretty good, and it's nice running around with actual 'speed' on the Arbite thanks to the Shredders mobility modifier (though it's the same as the Revolvers, but you know just feels that little bit faster since it can now also shoot while sprinting, which is nice). Can't rely just on a little smg though, so spend points working up the stagger and multi hit bonuses to keep up DR and damage with the Suppression Shield. This time going for the XI again, rounding out my shield set ups by giving a 'Break the Line' build to this one as well. As I already have one that 'maximizes it's cooldown', I figure this one can run with no upgrade point investment, and just function off the CDR given to it from Malocator. That plus the suppression shield slaps keep enemies from overwhelming you pretty handily, with a Remote Detonation thrown in there every so often to thin things further. Keeps the kills flowing quite nicely, with a hot swap smg of sorts to quickly deal with anything at mid range, before going back to smacking things to death and hiding behind your shield should toughness get low.
Main combo for the shield is light light heavy, then a light heavy combo after that to clear the wave, or doing a push before it, not doing the attack, and going into the combo from there. Stringing heavies over and over lets you deal with armored targets with big overhead hits and shield bonks, and everything else gets melted by the Shredder pistol. As you have enough toughness regen being an Arbite, you can us Cavalcade instead of Inspiring Barrage (though if you disagree, you can swap the two) allowing for some pretty quick kills with Blaze Away helping along with it. You can drop even a mutant in half a clip, which is pretty nice, and even do some decent damage against monstrous flesh as well. Your dog then cleans up the difference, pouncing and DoTing everything down with ease, keeping you nice and topped off and protected as it does so.
A pretty simple build all things considered, but it works, and lets you run around with a little SMG for your troubles. It's a nice bit of novelty, with the shield helping to make up for the range gap along with the dog. Everything works together well, you're a nice quick killing machine, collecting skulls at record pace for the Lex tithe.
