Weapons:

I decided to go with the greatsword because that is what I have on my other assail build.
-Blessings:  Precognition and Shred are nice to helping do more damage when you are stuck in melee.  Also, remember you have your special that is also very nice for making things die faster.

The shotgun was simply the only ranged gun that had decent damage in the armoury.  It did its job lol   I do not have this weapon mastery levelled up at all.  I have no idea what Blessings would be good on it, but at its basic level it still worked for killing elites and specials that thought they should be too close to me. Use any gun of your choosing, so long as it can one-shot the elites/specials.

On both weapons, I took damage vs elites and flak to help kill those enemies faster.   *thumbs up*

Curious:
I opted for toughness, health, and damage reduction from gunners/snipers.  This is because I had to peek in and out to snipe a lot of gunners and snipers... but I still got hit by a few (forgive me, I am new to FPS games as well as this one, I am learning how to not be bad still).  Taking these traits kept me alive when the rest of my team was worshipping the floor instead of the Emperor.

Play style:

Pew-pew crystal spam (with some interspersed melee and gun use).  Seriously.  This build is meant to keep going for as long as you can without using venting shriek.  ONLY use your quell.  When you have larger enemies like crushers, I found it helpful to get closer than I wanted too and shoot them in the back (mostly because of the gun that was available for me to buy).

Depending on how fast your group moves, tags and kills enemies, you might have to try to be ahead of them so you can take out enemies with a charged up assail.  The nice things about this build is that you get warp charges consistently from your teammates killing things as well.

I recommend choosing a level that is either High-Intensity or Shock Troop on malice.

Hopefully this helps someone. ♥
