Smite gun psyker has more flexibility now than it had pre-Bound By Duty update, but this is still far from a weapons-agnostic build like other kinds of psyker builds more or less are. Accurate long-ranged gun is necessary or you'll be defenseless vs shooters. A weapon decent at both single target and horde clearing is preferred, otherwise take off both Smite subnodes and get yourself something nice instead.
