Lore
Gray was born on Cadia. Like so many, he worked in the weapons manufactorum from an early age. Between grueling work shifts, he trained to join the militia. Though subjected to an environment of endless toil and unimaginable hardship, Gray refused to be broken, developing an iron will and an ordered, disciplined mind that have served him well to this day. After decorated service in the Astra Militarum, Gray was honored by being recruited into an elite regiment.
It wasn’t that Gray didn’t get out of the way for the passing magistrate, it was that he didn’t get out of the way quickly enough. That alone was enough to earn a one way trip to the prison ship, the Tancred Bastion. Gray will never be the same. Enraged and appalled, he sat in his cell waiting for judgement.
When the prison ship was boarded, it startled Gray awake. The explosion had left a pile of debris where his cage once was. Assuming death was all that was left to wait for, Gray began traversing his way through the ship. Miraculously, after assisting an explicator to her rescue team safely, he was offered passage off the doomed ship in exchange for enlistment in her warband. Gray obliged and found himself aboard the Morningstar ready to prove his loyalty to the Emperor.
With his prior knowledge attained from the manufactorums, Gray is known to be a weapons specialist, and frequently tinkers with his grenades and other gadgets to maximize his killing efficiency. With time he is slowly proving to be a valuable asset to Grendyl’s warband, and has even been appointed as a trooper in the renowned Moebian 53rd regiment.
This is more of a thematic build for my own personal in game character, and not the most effective tactic available.
