Do not fall for bubble propaganda. Burn the heretics.
Inferno staff is the backbone of this build, and for at least 90% of the match, you'd solely be using it. Swap to dueling sword to reposition, headshot maulers/crushers/mutants/etc. Inferno staff can deal with nearly everything but monstrosities. You won't be doing much damage to with your staff but I still spam alt fire on chaos spawns and plague ogryns.
Reposition with dueling sword by sprinting, heavy attack+slide, charge heavy attack while sliding, repeat.

Soulstealer: extra toughness regen
- Perilous combustion: great for applying soulblaze within hoards
-Mettle: more toughness on crit hit and movement speed
- Perfect timing: more dmg on crit
- Brain burst with Kinetic flayer: Kinetic Flayer is PEAK for dealing with specialists because 99% of the time they will be instakilled. BB is good for far away and enemies and with Perilous Combustion you can apply soulblaze to entire groups without having to be up close and personal
- Souldrinker: more toughness on soulblaze kill AND more crit chance
- Wildfire: same usage as Perilous Combustion
- Aura: I always go with Prescience(Crit Chance), but Kinetic Presence is also good for higher difficulty especially if theres another psyker on the team with Prescience, or theres the rotten armor modifier.
-Empathetic Evasion: amazing underrated talent that makes you basically immune to ranged attacks after a critical hit. With this build you should be pumping out crits like crazy so you should have this up constantly.
- Psykinetic’s Aura: great for your team
- One with the warp: must-have for this high peril build
-Venting shriek with Creeping flames: easily get rid of overload while applying even more soulblaze. Warp siphon should be able to consistently get you max stacks very quick so do not hesitate to shriek whenever you want.
- Solidity: So you can quell very fast
- Penetration of the soul: this is GOOD with the inferno staff
- Vulnerable minds: flat +20% dmg is great
- Warp rider: essential
-Warp ghost: personal choice of mine but its a great talent
