Description
The build I use in AURIC after a lot of trial and error, designed for flanking, mobility, survivability, supporting teammates, and still top scoring -- my version of Fatmangus. Can top score elite/boss killing/damage unless there are HS or psykers on the team. This build's role is a supportive tanky melee DPS, second only to skilled HS or psyker in overall performance but helpful with Chorus, flamer, and not made of paper. Very rarely getting downed or dying in Auric thanks to tankiness and speed.
Fatmangus 350+ HP, tanking damage, rescues/revives, pushing gunners, etc. More wounds means ceding medicae to your Psyker(s) or 2-wound allies. Knives for specials, thinning out elites, quickly freeing teammates from dogs or mutants.
Chorus for gold HP. Also using this to push bosses and crushers off bridges, etc.
Dueling Sword - Flak/Carapace since I'm killing elites with DS and not really chasing down bosses with melee, flamer for that. Movement with sprint slide heavy, along with Relentless Fervor. Thrust and Agile for deleting elites/disablers/specials via weakspots. I found that even with BP, my crit rate wasn't very high even with Riposte (~25-35%), Thrust is more consistent and reliable imo. Precog is only 2s and dodge procs are weird since the relevant enemies like elites don't count towards the proc. I tried Uncanny but decided on Agile since I liked having the extra insurance/survivability of refreshed dodges on higher difficulties. The theme here is guaranteed blessings over things that are harder to proc or not as reliable by design. I'm always thrusting, not really spamming lights unless with a horde so that's why no Sustained Assault or attack speed needed. Pious Cut-Throat because I can more reliably hit weakspots for ability CD vs IoD since only ~25-35% crit rate even with BP+Riposte.
Flamer - Flak/Unyielding for mixed hordes and bosses, crits (~40-50%) means you don't reload with Everlasting Flame, switch to Penetrating Flame for Havoc.
