Havoc Psyker build is a proper beast for pushing up to 40. It's the classic high-peril Soulblaze Inferno carry with Brain Rupture burst, wrapped in a tanky bubble that keeps the whole team alive through the worst waves. Everything here was chosen to let you melt hordes effortlessly while still popping the big threats you mentioned (Crushers, Bulwarks, monstrosities), and the sustain is stupidly strong so you can stay aggressive without getting deleted.

Weapons – the heart of the playstyle

Inferno Force Staff (Rifthaven Mk II) is your main gun for trash and hordes. Soulblaze is the star here – it stacks exponentially, and with your talents it spreads like crazy. I had you swap the Maniacs perk for +5% Ranged Crit because crits double the Soulblaze stacks on hits, and Warp Nexus (your blessing) already gives you up to +20% crit at high peril. Pair that with the kept +25% Flak and you chew through elites and gunners way better. Penetrating Flame is decent team support (Brittleness helps everyone), but the real power comes from your high Burn/Cloud Radius stats making the flames stick and spread. This thing turns dense packs into a self-sustaining firestorm.

Blaze Force Sword (Illisi Mk V) is the perfect complement. You use it for melee cleanup, stagger, and when things get in your face. Deflector is god-tier with your playstyle – blocks ranged and melee with almost no cost, especially once you layer on Kinetic Deflection from talents. Unstable Power gives you free strength scaling off the peril you're already sitting at. I recommended swapping Maniacs to +25% Unyielding because it boosts you against Reapers, bosses, and tougher stuff your staff doesn't one-shot, while keeping the +25% Flak for the elites you actually melee. It feels great to dive in, warp-slice for peril gen, and heavy-attack priority targets.

Curios – why you're so damn tanky

Full sustain with one health curio (+20% max health blessing +5% perk) and two toughness ones. The +30% Toughness Regen Speed on all three is the biggest winner – combined with your talents (Quietude, Soulstealer, Souldrinker, Warp Ghost, etc.) your toughness basically refills itself every few seconds during combat. The +4% Combat Ability Regen on two of them keeps Brain Rupture and the Dome up more often. This setup gives you a fat health buffer for bleedthrough (snipers, overheads, grims) while the toughness regen makes you feel unkillable in prolonged fights. It's perfect for Havoc where waves just don't stop.

Talents, Ability, and Keystone – the glue

Run Empowered Psionics as keystone because it turns Brain Rupture into a nuke: 100% peril cost reduction, faster cast, and +50% damage on empowered casts. Kinetic Player guarantees procs on elites/specials/monstrosities, and with Overpowering Souls + Charged Up you stack them reliably off kills. That's why you can reliably delete the big stuff you mentioned.

Telekine Dome + Sanctuary is the ability choice for team play in Havoc – the bubble blocks ranged fire, and Sanctuary gives everyone constant toughness regen inside it plus a fat 50% toughness DR when it pops. It's clutch for holding positions or pushing through gun lines.

The rest of the tree is pure synergy:

  • High-peril nodes like Warp Rider (+damage as peril rises), One with the Warp (scaling toughness DR), and Warp Ghost (stamina + toughness on quelling) reward you for staying topped up on peril.
  • Soulblaze cluster (Wildfire, Perilous Combustion, Souldrinker, Soulstealer) makes your staff absurdly strong – kills spread stacks, you get toughness and crit chance back, and everything just cooks.
  • Seer's Presence aura gives CDR for you and the team, so more bubbles and ruptures for everyone.
  • Defensive stuff like Solidity (quell speed) and Battle Meditation keeps you safe while spamming.

Everything clicks together around high peril + Soulblaze + bubble sustain. No wasted points.

How to actually play it in Havoc 40

Stay aggressive but smart. Spam charged secondary on the staff to blanket hordes in Soulblaze – it ignores mass and target limits, so packed groups melt in seconds. Alternate with primary bursts for stagger and suppression. Keep peril high (80-100%) for all the scaling bonuses; quell only when you need to (your regen and Warp Resistance make it safe).

When elites or specials show up, switch to the sword for quick cleave or warp-slice, or just pop a Brain Rupture (especially empowered ones) on Crushers/Bulwarks/monstrosities. The staff still chips them, but Rupture is your delete button.

Drop the Dome proactively on big ranged waves, boss phases, or when the team needs breathing room – the Sanctuary regen turns it into a mobile toughness station. Use your sword's Deflector to facetank stragglers while the staff does the work.

In practice on 40+ you'll feel the power spike once Soulblaze gets rolling: one elite death triggers Perilous Combustion + Wildfire cascades, and suddenly the whole screen is burning. Your toughness barely dips thanks to the regen loop, and the stats we calculated earlier (roughly 188 HP, 215+ toughness with 38-43% DR, 37-42% crit on staff, insane regen) mean you can play right in the thick of it.
