Taking Confident Strike on the Arc Maul sacrifices a lot of damage, but its synergy with Power Overflow might allow it to be very effective as a support weapon. Especially with the ability to inflict brittleness. This could work well with a build that prioritizes ranged damage. Power Overload provides a significant amount of defense to the team, synergizing well with Power Overflow.

Notes: Is it worth speccing into System Shock? Does the brittleness from System Shock stack with the brittleness from Thunderous?

Is Flensing Protocols better on this build? You can play more defensively and potentially keeper higher uptime on Flensing Protocols. Maybe you can also exploit the crit chance, pick up Last Stand Relay, and use the Gets Hot blessing? How much will crits actually change the Plasma Gun's breakpoints on this build? Elite Kills granting Capacitance could also be very useful. It could extend Advanced Combat Doctrine's uptime, no? You'd be moving away from support and more into ranged DPS.

Is Plasma Gun the best ranged weapon for this sort of build? Maybe the arc rifle? Ugh the arc rifle seems so cool but the sound design is just so annoying to listen to lol
