An experimental "sniper" build. Darktide is too fast for any kind real hanging back and putting out high damage at range playstyle, but maybe we can get close with this.

Lucius MK V Helbore Lasgun because in testing despite the lower damage than the other marks, the rapid fire on uncharged shots helps in the "oh shit" situations, and Weight of Fire with carapace and unyielding puts out a hilarious amount of DPS. With Shock Trooper you also have good ammo economy to boot. The nice thing about the Helbore versus something like the plasma gun is that the plasma gun almost has too much knockdown. Sometimes that's a life saver, but with maxed charge rate and Weight of Fire a Helbore can just hold down on headshots and eliminate them before anything like a crusher or mauler can do anything. Carapace armor? Too bad, it's still going through. That all being said, use whatever mark suits you best.

Normally I vastly prefer krak grenades by for this build Smoke Grenade should work better. Hang back, pop a smoke grenade at your feet, turn on Executioner's Stance and start slaying. You could remove Grenade Tinkerer and Demolition Team to move the points elsewhere that suits you, but I always find myself running out of grenades at the most inopportune time. Mark bosses and armored targets as often as possible with max stacks, kill them, and let that extra damage run over. You can change out The Bigger they Are ... for something else as it's mostly there for the extended duration.

I picked the Aridin Mk I Power Falchion for those situations where you get bumrushed by ragers and maulers out of nowhere to deal with them quickly, but use whatever melee weapon you're most comfortable with. The Munitorum Mk I Sapper Shovel is always great for horde clearing against unarmored and lightly armored enemies.

This build should be better at higher difficulties where there are more elites and specialists for you to usefully proc Executioner's Stance, otherwise you'll probably find yourself being a bit undergunned.

Curios are dealers choice, but I picked up some a lot of stamina perks because of Deadshot and the Lucius MK V Helbore Lasgun sapping stamina real quick, especially if you have to reposition.
