Description
I have personally found this works quite well. you wanna stay at a bit of a distance, since your main strong suit is ranged power with your rifle. you do have some decent horde clearing power with the transonic blades, but they fall a bit short if your overwhelmed by elites or ogryns. the big strongpoint of the rifle is the fact that with the right build, you can one shot dreg ragers in the head. the build can work with the phosphor blast pistol, but I prefer the rifle. I use the transonic blades for melee, as they are very good at clearing hordes of fodder infantry such as poxwalkers. the build is very ranged focused, so lots of the perks are going to be ranged based, which is good, because skitarii have some incredible ranged options.
you can swap the ability for the chordclaw, but I've found the auto-aim with advanced combat doctrines can help with hordes of poxwalkers and other smalltime fodder. the fact it auto aims is also very nice, as if you use it when theres a bunch of enemies clumped together, you can basically just fire into the hordes and land headshots easily. if you go with chordclaw, I would recommend taking the axial slash perk with it, because that turns hordes into sliced ham with ease.
I take the servo skull blitz, as it helps fill gaps in the build. do to skitarii being not the tankiest with this build, the medicae skull can be a lifesaver to send to a downed teammate who's surrounded by enemies you can't take out in melee very well, such as crushers or other more armored elites, and the flamer can help soften up hordes for easier kills if you get stuck in melee.
the aura works with the "ammo cell augury" perk, with the two keeping you with plenty of ammo to mag dump into elites and other enemies, since this build is pretty ammo heavy. this means you will also want to take lots of ammo perks, such as the ones that auto-load your gun when you haven't shot for a bit, and the one that gives you back one ammo every 15 seconds, although if you go with the claw, you can skip on this perk.
redline capacitators helps you keep stacks so you can use advanced combat doctrines more. plus the buffs it give to toughness damage reduction help greatly with keeping you alive, and the boost to capistance regen is nice.
