Description
Build Overview
This is a high-mobility, high crit, single-target assassin build designed around the Combat Blade and Scrier’s Gaze. Your primary objective is to eliminate elites and specials at high speed—outpacing even a Fury of the Faithful Zealot—while passively clearing the surrounding horde using Soulblaze.
By executing elites and specials tucked inside enemy packs, your passive talent trigger localized Soulblaze bursts that burn down dense clusters of enemies.
Core Playstyle & Mechanics
- Primary Weapon Focus: The Combat Blade is your primary tool for both mobility and melee damage. Scrier’s Gaze serves as your core offensive engine, providing critical damage, finesse modifiers, movement speed, and damage reduction while active.
- Special Sniping: Use the Laspistol to pick off distant elites and specials for Soulblaze trigger in clusters of enemies.
- Kinetic Flayer Management: Pay attention to your Kinetic Flayer cooldown. Time it to use either with the Laspistol from afar or when you need it on an elite or special in a large cluster of enemies.
- Alternative Ranged Option: If you prefer additional crowd control, the Shotgun can replace the Laspistol—though your blade remains your main output.
Positioning & Survival
This build functions as a high-risk glass cannon assassin:
- Avoid frontline engagements: Do not charge headfirst into raw horde density without a clear target. Use cover, side-flanks, and your team's frontline to absorb initial aggression.
- Mobility is your defense: Rely on slide-dodging and high sprint speed to stay out of enemy attack tracks. Bad positioning or a mistimed push will cause you to go down quickly.
- High-level viability: Highly effective for Auric Maelstrom and Havoc modifiers. If running high-tier Havoc (40), ensure your team composition accounts for your lack of heavy crowd control and that you can sustain high-level damage avoidance.
Variants
- Use Catachan MKIII Combat blade instead.
- Switch Immaterial focus for something else: Lightning speed, empathic evasion, Cruel fortune. Up to you.
- Swich sidearm to shotgun.
