The blaze force sword is just a very good weapon, and since it has innate soul-blaze on crits you can benefit from the perks, and with deflector you can tank even demon-hosts without a sweat.
the heavy las-pistol is a solid option, but you can swap it out for a staff/revolver if you prefer those options.
besides that the whole point of this build is to reach high peril, kill everything and if you really wanna mess up a hoard pop Scier's gaze and simply swing at head level to have near infinite uptime on it to keep ramping up your damage, as long as there's heads to lop off you can keep quelling peril enough to not overload.
Crystaline will can be swapped out on preference, its mostly there cause you can use it as an emergency massive AoE clear but if you'd rather not you can take lighting speed + warp expenditure.
