Build Overview

This is the Chordclaw Strike version of my go-to Havoc40 Skitarii build.
But the play syle differs alot from it.
You will swap melee/range more often, and utilies many DoT and debuffs/buffs.

This is the Chordclaw Strike version of my go‑to Havoc 40 Skitarii build, but the playstyle differs a lot.
You will swap between melee and ranged more often, and you’ll utilize many DoTs, debuffs, and buffs.

The concept was already done by Big‑Dom and Ripthejack3r.
This build basically rips off that idea and half‑assedly slaps it onto my Flensing build.

Skills:

  • Chordclaw Strike
Use it on tanky enemies and especially on bosses.
Just as Mr. Rip described in his video, make sure to hit them after you debuff them with Phosphor and the Skull.
It also gives you and your teammates an instant 20% toughness thanks to Voltaic Restoration , so use it if someone is losing toughness.
Don’t forget it has a nice forward momentum you can use to run away or reposition.
If you want, holding the button lets you execute the OG Claw attack, but I prefer the 3‑strike combo always.

  • Probing Strikes
You can pick another Claw optional node if you want, or choose something else entirely.
But I think this is the best Claw option node.
  1. Unlike the default Claw, you don’t get stuck on targets like a chain‑weapon rev attack, so you can avoid damage easily.
  2. It has a unique bleed DoT that co‑exists with the OG bleed stacks. It maxes out just by landing all 3 strikes.
  3. It still has insane cleave, so it can kill multiple elites and CC like Axial Slash —you just need to aim a bit.
  4. Satiated Steel is really good, but Higher Purpose already gives you many caps from any elite/specialist kills.

Curios:

Same as my other build.
Keep Revive speed, and pick anything else you like.

Weapons:

  • Catachan Mk VI Combat Blade
You can pick another mark, but I think this one fits the target playstyle best—nimble and flexible.
The push‑attack loop is extremely fast with Servo-Sinew Surge and Uncapped Arrestor , while still providing safety through blocking.
I choose Lacerate over Flesh Tearer because even with this crit‑maxing build, your crit rate will be around 60%.
Guaranteed 4 stacks of bleed is invaluable, especially with your buffed attack speed—it maxes out instantly, letting you start hitting weakspots ASAP.
Uncanny Strike isn’t needed because your high crit rate activates System Shock often.
So I pick Riposte for more crit maxing.
    For perks:
    • Unyielding for more damage to the tankiest enemies
    • Stamina for more mobility and safety (but you can pick anything else)

  • Branx Mk XI Phosphor Blast Pistol
Same setup as my other build.
Having both ranged and melee Unyielding perks makes DoTs against tanky enemies consistent even when swapping weapons mid‑duration.
For this build, Crucian Roulette is probably better, but I don’t like losing stacks when reloading.
Against large hordes, shoot a few rounds to debuff them with its small but useful AoE—especially since you can’t shock or brittle them with Voltaic Emitter in this build.
You can change the +5% crit chance, but I think this pistol deals enough damage thanks to its crit‑rewarding scaling.
Infernus and the pistol’s unique Phosphor DoT also smooth out kills.

Blitz:

  • Medicae Servo-Skull
More important for this build than the other one due to the lack of CC.
It becomes more valuable for reaching downed teammates safely.

  • Artificer Servo-Skull
Always tag and debuff bosses before probing them.
    I cannot stress this enough.

Thoughts:

I genuinely feel this is the best and most comfortable way to use the Catachan Mk VI Combat Blade in the game.

It gives you attack speed, more damage by hitting things, more DR by hitting things, crit gives toughness back, bleed gives a damage buff, and most importantly, crit stuns even Crusher and brittles them.

I actually feel this is the most synergized melee weapon for the Skitarii—better than any other pick, even the exclusive ones.

Switching to Voltaic Emitter also works; you just lose the insane boss TTK, but you can still perform similarly with extra CC capability.

About the video:

Really good randoms again.
And the Ogryn was very polite—he apologized after the match for getting down a few times.

None of us were mad.
I thought he was just unlucky because he played very well, and he came to support me multiple times in the match.

As long as you do your job and help the team win, whatever mistakes you make don’t matter.

This is why I love this game so much: If others are doing well, that means you’re helping them perform well, and vice versa.
