Description
Hi. I don't really make builds. But I figured I'd give it a shot with what I think is good for Heresy with the fun looking new Shotgun. If this goes well, I'll update this with help from mates.
Update: Finally got to play it, and boy howdy I love it! Might try to work on upping the reload speed maybe if I can. For now, this build feels good for those of you that just want to play with the new shotgun.
♫ Shotgun Boogie! I done saw your track. Look out Mr. Nurgle when I cock my hammer back ♫
Basic Play: You're a fast boy with the help of Close and Kill , Infiltrate , Leave No One Behind (If you're near a downed person), and Duck and Dive, alongside the stacked stamina regen on your trinkets. You'll be doing alot of ducking, weaving, and dancing while blasting your shotgun into enemies, which helps in having Skirmisher . When it get's croweded and your gun is empty, that's where your melee of choice comes out. I'd say whatever your comfortable clearing trash mobs with or specific enemies is fine for you. But me I like the Maccabian Mk IV Duelling Sword for being akin to my Rapier days on Saltzpyre back in Vermintide 2. Heavy M1s to stab almost everything, Spam-Clicking when you can't be fancy with trash mobs, thumb click to counter Ragers if you're brave enough.
Obviously the star of the guide is the newly beloved Accatran Mk III Huntsman's Shotgun . Just blast the bastards, you have Withering Fire to slaughter hordes like nothing. Hipfire mostly, but aim for snipers or specific threats. (you'd be surprised the reach you'd get, within reason), that's why we have Full Bore and Deathspitter . Ammo economy isn't the best, so that's why we have Fully Loaded , bringing the reserve at 80. Reload speed is a bit slow, even with Tactical Reload .
When you Infiltrate , You can save team-mates, do objectives without getting harassed, or most likely, take a break to reload your gun. Don't be afraid to pop it for that last purpose. We have ability cooldowns for days, and you can always find a Yellow Stim to recharge.
Final Advice: This is a pretty movement focused build. You should be good at dogding and moving around to be good with this build. Don't expect to alwayas rely on the shotgun, you have a melee for a reason, and the Dueling Sword is pretty safe as a Melee for most.
