Description
As a Psyker you’re usually really squishy so you’re gonna wanna keep moving (don’t get pined down) and make sure you’re picking off (or at least disrupting) as many special enemies (usually ranged) as you can to keep them off the team. (Assail is very useful for this)
Tips:
Target enemies marked by disrupt destiny to get: dmg stacks, movement speed boost, and 25% toughness regeneration over 2.5 seconds.
Staff is built to be a debuff/stagger stick, use the secondary attack on Maulers, Crushers, Bosses and even horde enemies to clear the way, knock enemies over or increase damage against them.
Main Combat Loop:
Throw 5 Assail shards, pop Scryers Gaze, throw one or two more, swap to greatsword and go for melee weak spot crits. As your peril scales up so does damage, good dodges give extra crit chance on melee, and melee weak spot kills quell peril. Try to balance around 80% peril for maximum damage. After hitting 100% peril use your “warp slash” on the greatsword, spam remaining shards or chain the staff secondary for 10 seconds as you have peril overload prevention. (Make sure to watch for symbol at the bottom) When time is up quell your peril, and survive till you have another Scryers Gaze ready to pop.
Keep in mind Scryers Gaze is not any type of “ invulnerability” merely a boost to toughness damage reduction and slight toughness regeneration, though it does slightly increase crit chance, and critical hits make you count as dodging ranged attacks.
Alternate Option: Swap Assail for Brain Burst (One shot enemies)(12 sec cooldown)
Also switch “Malefic Momentum” for “Kinetic Flare”
Alternate Option: Swap Assail for Smite (Extra crowd control & heavy electrocution)
Also switch “Malefic Momentum” for “Charged Strike”
Both Alternate Options Trade Raw damage for special effects.
Assail is generally the best for sniping marked targets, and the others have better builds specifically for them, but they work fine in the build, if assail feels like it’s not getting the job done.
