Description
Big Game Bleed Hybrid Build - "The gods have seen fit to populate the Old World with all manner of foul monsters. They've also seen fit to grant me with a keen eye and a strong bow to hunt them with."
Descending from the death-world of Lustri'a, this hunter seeks bigger more dangerous threats then an old neighborhood crocodile!
Lustrian Trench Shovel - Your horde clearing and support tool, Mk is your choice, but I prefer the MkVII to deal with carapace easier with the flip function, hence Uncanny Strike. Hordes are handled with Heavy-Light-Heavy, Armored threats through Special-Light spam over the heavy due to to locked on nature of it, keep it as short as possible. Serrated Blade plays great with the double tap nature of the specials, helps clear chaff even easier and allows you to keep your bleed stacks high on bosses after Flechette. The combat knife is an option here also with Uncanny Strike but I use that too often on my vet builds so up to you!
Huntsmarshal's Amber Class Shotgun - The new beastie hunter on the block! Great in groups of gunners and ragers; hence Withering Fire, you can also swap this for Deathspitter, which can also provide the cleave you need. This is your premier boss-hunting weapon with Deadshot and Bring it Down!. Some form of reload reduction is needed, so I brought Tactical Reload , which is synergistic with Always Prepared and the constant top up of shells . Some other combo of Speedloader or Volley Adept is always an option also if going another keystone. Its damage drop-off is also slightly handled by Longshot and could swap to Scattershot for more extra bleeds but i find Full Bore better for bosses and ragers in your face.
Hunter's Versatility (Weapons Specialist) - A hunter must be versatile! Allows us to more reliably proc crit headshots with Flechette for easy one-taps during melee and to support your reload speed during Executioner's Stance thanks to Always Prepared. Invigorated allows us to stay safer after running out of Deadshot. Focus Target! is an option if you want even stronger boss-destroying capabilities, though I find you lack the ammo to shoot the whole game, and the melee capabilities of Weapons Specialist are great to keep us safe when low on shells.
Hunter's Stance (Voice of Command) - Get all the lesser chaff off your back while you focus on the big hunt! a solid defencive tool and our go-to mode when shooting. Marksman and Agile Engagement keeps our damage up for 6 seconds which is plenty of time to mag dump all your shells into a boss. We also ain't using no las rifle so with our low mag size, I find this a more versatile approach then Executioner's Stance.
Krak's (or Smokes!) - For your major threats to help with bosses or groups of armour. If only one crusher, just use your shovel; you don't wanna be facing a spicy meatball (Chaos Spawn) without a pile of Kraks here. Smokes is a good alt if going into higher havocs it is up to you!Civilisation shall triumph over the wilderness. Man shall triumph over beast...
