Description :

Hello, this build is the most versatile and efficient loadout I came up with.
It murders with extreme ease any ogryn and monstrosity.
It also kills easily any elites/specialist.
It deals with hordes pretty fine with the powersword, especially with the two traits.
It is moderate for killing ranged units as it requires the user to be a good shot, also it's weak toward suppression.

The principle is easy; the more enemies you kill and the faster you do it means more time for you and your squad to react to the rest of the threats and ultimately stay alive.

Weapons
Powersword -
To be used against hordes and/or anything that surprises you in melee
It will cleave through anything, it will stun ragers and maulers, and it pierces carapace armor. It's literally the strongest melee in the game there's no reason not to use it.

The traits are not mandatory but do make a huge difference. More cleave and increased energized duration means you spend more time slashing and less time activating energy, also you can dig in entire hordes by just spamming side dodges and heavies just like in vermintide.

Bolter -
To be used with Volleyfire on any tanky elites/specialists. Snipers, gunners, bombers, trappers etc can be shot individually without volley.
You should absolutely keep your ammo for elites/ranged and NOT shoot hordes. Keep grenades for hordes or to buy time to pick up wounded buddies.

The traits are not mandatory either but pinning fire is obnoxiously strong and can double/triple your damage. Coupled with rending you will melt through anything just like a true lore accurate bolter.

It is also VERY important to keep at least 1 round in your bolter to make reloads faster. Also, reloading after an elite will make you reload even faster and ultimately sprinting at the end of the reload animation will help. Altogether you'll reload faster than any other guns.

Curios -
+1 wound
+1 wound
+18% health

Wounds are the amount of health bars you have, which will be 2 on damnation/heresy if you don't take wound curios.
Now in a run you take two types of damage, ranged, which are soaked by your 200 toughness bar, which is huge AND constantly regenerating from your perks. Then melee, which bleeds through your toughness and do not regenerate. This is why you need a lot of HP to tank whatever melee hits you take while ranged are dealt with your “shield” called toughness, that you regenerate.

Perks

Confirmed kill -
Since you're playing with a bulky gun that isn't easy to go for heads and you're most likely playing on damnation or heresy, you will have a lot of elites to kill, therefor toughness regen is the go to. It's not entirely stupid to go for headshot toughness regen if you're affraid of ranged shooters being a bane but, meh.

Tactical reload -
Mandatory for the bolter. You do not need extra damage based on range since it oneshots pretty much everything, and you do not need grenade because bleh there are hordes everywhere and your powersword excels at killing them.

Covering fire -
Absolutely under appreciated perk. You're a killing machine with this loadout and this perk gives 10% toughness to every allies in melee range of your slain target. Your bolter has pierce-through and will kill multiple elites/pox per shots when you counter a specialist rush, any zealot or veteran or psyker in melee will almost be constantly full of toughness because of this. Keep in mind to not magdump hordes or you'll be out of ammo though.

Unwavering focus -
Other perks are kind of garbage but either way, you will be constantly under volley fire as long as there are elites on the field (a lot on damnation) so a 75% ranged damage reduction is always welcomed.

One after another -
Again, lot of elites. Most of the time shooting will be on elites so it'll be appreciated to reload 30 (+20 sometimes)% faster. Coupled with a little sprint to cancel the animation you'll reload faster than a normal gun.

The bigger they are… -
Under volley fire you will kill everything fast as fuck, the only enemies that will survive are ogryns and monstrosities, which is why you will enjoy dealing 50%+ extra damage to them. As easy as that.
