If you are tired of getting shot by all those gunners or being victimized by elites then this build is for you.
This build is designed to allow the veteran to eliminate all gunners and elites as quickly as possible and thus leave the field open to your frontline which otherwise will encounter great difficulty in advancing against multiple gunners.
Your position will have to be stationary at the back of your team slightly out of the way, your role will be to eliminate all gunners and elites as a priority, but also to cover the back of your team.
Favor elevated locations with an unobstructed view that won't be obstructed by the horde, allowing you to take out priority targets as quickly as possible.
Your role is not to manage the horde, even if your power sword is effective in melee this work is intended for your Zealot and Ogryn which constitute your frontline.Only take care of the horde if it arrives behind you or if you have eliminated all your priority targets.
Never isolate yourself when you are on a goal that requires you to move together.
Generally when you need toughness it's because you are submerge by a horde with some elites inside and for this situation, Confirmed Kill give you more survivability. Also, this talent don't refresh but can stack (duration : 10sec each stack individualy).
At Arm's Lenght is usefull for mitigate damages against gunners but you don't really need it cause most of the gunners ignore you due to your Expert Camo trait.
Sniper is the best here cause you need this damages to be able to OS most of your targets, reduce your time to kill and save ammos.
Bio-Optic Targeting is useful for your team and allows them to better position themselves. It's specialy helpfull for your Psyker.
Not being often in coherency with your team due to your positioning, it may be considered to replace Bio-Optic Targeting by Covering Fire in order to support your frontline effectively.
The Expert Camo talent is essential because it will allow you not to be targeted by all gunners and most of melee enemy and leaves you free to eliminate them without suppression or damage.
The talent "One After Another" will allow you to reload your weapon quickly which allows you not to interrupt your ultimate when you reload. To know that this talent is not subject to a duration, this means that from the moment you have eliminated an elite, which will systematically happen, your next recharge will be 30% faster, even if you change your weapon or if you wait a long period.
Deadshot is sexy but not really helpful with a lasgun cause you lose stamina when you aiming with your weapon and it's finally effective only for your 9-10 first shot (you lose 10% stamina for each shot), leting you out of stamina and free to take damage from behind.
The Counterfire talent is mendatory because it will allow you to be constantly under Volley Fire due to the multiples targets.
Your Lasgun MG XII must have the +20/25% damage bonus against Flak Armoured Enemies cause this affect the major parts of your targets that comport every Scabs and specialy Scab Bruiser, Scab Rager, Scab Mauler, but also Poxburster and every Dregs enemies.
The +20/25% damage bonus against Maniacs is also very good for threats like Mutant, Dreg Tox Flamer and the Trapper which is the main part of the enemies who love to come from behind.
Try to have the both.
Your Power Sword must have damage against infested and unarmoured anemies cause that constitue the major parts of a horde.
No Respite : more damage on stagger enemies, helpful for Reaper, Bulwark and Poxhounds.
Deadly Accurate : make all your critical hits deadly, can be good with Headhunter.
Between the Eyes : helpful against Reaper and Gunners.
Power Cycler : no brainer, granted how much damage the Power Sword delivers, a blessing that makes it retain the energized state longer is more than fitting.
Sunder or Savage Sweep : cause you never have enought cleave and always want more.
Maximize your toughness and focus on resisting the damage that is most problematic for you.
Some resistance against sniper and Bombers is helpful cause that avoid to be one shot if misstake happen.
Due to your low HP, resistance against corruption can be a good thing.
Some resistance against gunners is also good cause even if they ignore you when you are still, that don't mean you are immune when you are moving.
The extra toughness +5% on each curios for a total of +15% can be a good choice.
You don't need stamina or skill haste because this build already allows you to stay under ultimate 100% of the time and you avoid melee.
No wound bonus is necessary in my opinion because you are not supposed to die more than once between 2 medical stations, and if you die it's usually because your allies are already dead and more wounds won't help you in this configuration.
Being at the back of your team, it will be your responsibility to stop all the Dreg Tox Flamers, Mutants, Pox Hounds, Poxbursters, Scab Trappers... that will occur at the back.
Your main target are snipers, reapers, maniacs, Dreg Gunners/Scab Gunners and mutants, everything except the horde and Crushers in general.
Regarding Pox Hounds specifically, as soon as you hear the alert telling you that they appear, stay still and don't panic, the dog will pass by you and ignore you thanks to the "Camo Expert" talent, take advantage of it and strike the dog with a charged attack when it passes you to eliminate it in one hit.Don't shoot them because then they will change their target and come towards you, changing their trajectory and making them very difficult to target, unless they are coming from the front in a straight line.
The sniper is in my opinion the biggest threat for your team it must be eliminated as quickly as possible and it must always be the number 1 target.Be careful because snipers seem to favor distant targets and your camo expert won't protect you from them, that's why I recommend having at least 20% resistance against them to avoid being OS.When a sniper appears, you or one of your allies will say "Sniper!", then immediately use your ultimate to signal its position to your team and allow you to identify it and shoot it down immediately.
Set your key to spot an enemy on your left click. Being constantly focused on the elites will allow you to reveal them to your team without effort on your part.
Use and abuse your expert camo talent it's more effective than you think but keep in mind that jumping, dashing, or being knocked back by a gunshot counts as movement.
Since most of the enemies ignore you, it will be very easy for you to complete the hacking tasks during the missions without being interrupted.
Extremely effective against any ranged target and elites.The very satisfying one shot one kill.
High survivability.
Large ammo capacity.
Good vision of threats due to the ultimate wallhack.
Your main weakness will be Bulwark and Crushers against which you will have great difficulty if you are alone or if noone is able to stagger them.
Due to its low mobility, the melee will not be your strong point when it comes to moving from one objective to another, you will often take blows in the back because it is impossible for you to outrun your pursuers effectively.
Due to your low health, if one of your allies decides to take a grimoire it will severely handicap you. Damnation is in my opinion not suitable for this kind of challenge so ask your team not to pick it up if possible.
Requires precision and will not suit people with approximate sighting.
Will not be suitable for people who like to rush and jump into the melee.
