Through my 100+ hours of playing sharpshooter, this build has never failed to impress me.
Once aquiring all feats listed, weapons, and curios. You will be unstoppable no matter what situation you find yourself in.
Weapons:
With the current meta, there is no reason you should not be using the power sword. The power sword provides excelllent horde clear as well as damage for the beefy ads that come in your way. Adding to that, the power sword provides lots of stagger once powered up giving you an easier time dealing with Bullwark ogryns or maniacs. If you would like to find an alternative to the power sword then the claw sword also would work very well with this build.
Bolter: The multi tool and symbol of the emperors fury. The bolter was perfectly made to show what it is capable of in game. I could go on for hours and hours of why the Bolter is one of if not the best weapon for sharpshooter in this game but I will give you the gist. The bolter is capable of providing high damage, crowd control, and horde clear. When dealing with hordes, the bolter can single handedly clear the way of ads from your teammates in order to create breathing room. With the amount of stagger you get from the weapon and the aoe damage you get, the bolter can change the course of a game very easily. What the bolter excells even more at is the Specials/ bosses. For specials the bolter provides enough damage to 2-3 weakspot shot kills, burst 2 ogryns in 1 mag and can mow down a group of maniacs swiftly.
Perks:
Confirmed kill: You will be the elite killer with this build but if you would like a perk that gives you toughness no matter what situation, take Exhilarating takedown. At arms length is ok but you will be up in the fight rather than staying in the far back, leave that to the psycher.
Demolition stockpile: 60s seems alot of time but trust me with 4 grenades, you will be able to always have grenades for majority of the mission and provides another option for horde control. Can be replaced for tactical reload if you want the uptime of your bolter to be extended. Sniper is a no go, like I said leave that to the psycher.
Bio-optic targeting: This perk gives so much information to your team which makes it such an important perk for solo or group play. Highlighting important enemies for your team lets them stay alive and aware of what is priority to kill in any situation. Demolition is ok if you want to keep your grenades up even more. Covering fire is ok for helping your team stay up alittle more but were not a support class….
Unwavering focus: Your volley fire is always going to be used so adding 75% damage reduction to toughness immensly increases your survivability but also lets you stay in the open getting the perfect shot on a special enemy while taking peashooter shots to your cranium. Duck and dive is ok but you'll be able to manage stamina hopefully without the help of this perk. Camo expert….. the emperor didnt raise you to pity behind your teammates.
Frag storm: Bleeding scales with health in darktide, this means grenades will be able to deal with beefy specials rather than just small ads. One after another is also good as a replacement if you want to focus on elite killing more than boss killing. Deadshot wont be good if you want to be boss killing since you will be hipfiring with the bolter but is good for elites.
Sustained fire: Practically doubles your dps for what will be explained later. Counterfire and the bigger they are, both serve the same purpose and give you a good damage boost and better elite killing capability.
Play style:
Your grenades, bolter, and powersword give you a playstyle capable of horde clear and anti elite but more importantly makes you a powerhouse in the boss killing department. Step 1.Start with throwing all your grenades to stack your bleed stacks on the boss. Step 2.Afterwards proceed to take out your giant gun the emperor has given you and rain judgement on boss. Step 3. as you run out of ammo say your prayers to the emperor and press your combat ability. The emperor has bestowed more bolts in your gun magically Step 4. Repeat step 2. Step 5. Play outro song as your team comprehends how you single handedly taken half of his health away in seconds. End scene.
