Summary:
Weapons: Melee[^Achlys Power Maul, Mk III Cleaver] Ranged[^Stubber, Ripper]
Curio Preferences: (Level 1-30 prioritize EXP) ^Toughness Buffs, ^Damage Resistances/Reductions, ^Block Efficiency, ^Revive Speed, vStamina, vHealth, vWounds
Feats: 20 and 30 are up to personal preference.
Level 5 can be Malice ready. Bleed Feat At Level 10 Turns you into a killing machine.
Tips: Rezzing your teammates is an immediate priority when they go down, no matter what Ogryn you are playing. Once you begin rezzing you block all melee attacks with Stamina and all ranged attacks with Toughness, or HP. YOU HAVE THE MOST OF ALL OF THESE, AND THE BEST CC + BUFF TO BE THE HERO. Bull Rush or Dodge/Slide in, eliminate any immediate threats to yourself or your allies, and rez unless they're down in a firing line you need to clear first, or a Sniper laser. Trapper nets are an IMMEDIATE REZ AS THEY TAKE LESS THAN A SECOND TO COMPLETE.
Shove-Attack into heavy attack while surrounded can and will save your life when used correctly. Use your ult to initiate, close the gap and CC any and all ranged enemies before they ruin your toughness. Consider groups of ranged enemies and heavily armored elites your #1 priority to CC. If your ult is on cooldown, use sprint, SLIDE, and side routes/COVER to meander your way up to bonking range where you are unkillable. Just get them to draw their melee weapons, and you've already won. Avoid standing in ranged fire when crossing open areas
Your Stubber deletes anything that is not a Crusher, use it wisely to either suppress/kill out of reach ranged enemies, or thin out crowds of Elites running at your team. Stop Mutants, Poxbursters, and Hounds with the Emp'rah's munitions. Gun Down Snipers, Bombers, and Trappers that are trying to run from you or that you can get an easy shot(s) on. You can kill/suppress them at range if you control your spread and you have no other good options available.
DO NOT EAT SHOTS AND HITS WHILE USING YOUR STUBBER. YOU WILL DIE.
Use your Achlys activated ability to bully, CC, and KILL crowds of other elites and Ogryn, ESPECIALLY CRUSHERS AND REAPERS. Dodge left and right near the end of their animations, DO NOT SPAM DODGE BACKWARDS. Heavy Activated with bleed is best and can spread your DoT + Resistance + Heal your toughness. Light Attack is quicker burst or initiation to knock them down quickly. Use Bullrush if they are starting to get hits on you.
Don't waste your Grenade Box on trash or Ogryn's unless you are Ranged Stunning a Reaper to go kill it/help your team kill it. Your Grenade Box is a .50Cal Sniper with a firing arc and 2 shots that you will rarely have if you waste it. It is your most powerful Long-Far range option. Use it to snipe high emergency high value targets by holding your mouse to make sure the Arc connects with your enemy, or where they will be moving, and one shot them. Hitting Beast of Nurgle's Weak Spot with Box/Stubber is devastating.

Depth:
A note from Frug:
“Frug, Repo'in. Runtys think Ogryns can't be effi-… Effish…- Ahhh grut it. Dis how Ogryn kill things good.”
Level 5: You can frontline a Malice or under horde forever using Shove-Attacks into heavy attacks, or just light attacking your way to victory with natural Kill-to-toughness regen. Cleaver Mk III has lethal horde clear potential and one of the best horde bisecting move sets in the game. If you don't have an Achlys yet, this is the next best thing. (Bully club does no damage but is decent CC if you get trash shop rolls)
At this level you should focus on Shoving and CC'ing things like ragers and crushers if you are forced to engage with them in Multi-melee as your starting ranged weapon is useless. Try to get a [Gauntlet<Ripper<Twin Linked Stubber] and a [Slab<Cleaver<Achlys] as soon as possible.
Level 10
“Every Ogryn knows that you don't want mean runty's to get back up. Dats why you chew your cleava' real good before a fight.”
Gamers know that putting a Dex feature on a Strength build is Heresy and cannot go unexcused. Our class does little to no real damage in a sustained fight against multiple targets without their activated Achlys. This feat turns EVERY Heavy Attack swing into brutal punishment for health sponges. This heavy attack spam and one or two dodges alone will kill a Bulwark through his shield blocking your attacks, effortlessly. Just keep heavy attacking and he will eventually bleed out on the ground for upwards of 200DoT + Any Damage you are already dealing with an Achlys Heavy Attack, In a cone in front of you, or your team will shoot him twice in the back and he will die anyway. This feat in its current form is incredibly powerful, and thematic considering the blunt force trauma we ought to be inflicting. Bombs away is gimmicky and not worth the feat point as it doesn't kill anything and CC's very little. Perks on weapons also apply to your bleed damage, which is why we take extra damage against Carapace Armor and Maniac enemies, as these are the biggest health sponges currently in the game aside from Void Shielded enemies and monstrosities, which we only have one of. If you pick % Unyielding Damage for your second perk, you have +40-50% Damage increase against Crushers, who you and your entire team will be desperately smiting down with your Achlys. You can sub out +Damage to Carapace Armor for +Damage to Unyielding enemies as well, but the idea is you want more damage for anything you are struggling to kill outright if you can get it.
Level 15:
“Frug likes to stomp snivellies. It what Frug do best.”
Ogryn is insanely strong while their ult is available, or actively in use. If you see a group of Elite enemies, Using your bullrush and then killing them all will net you close to your next bullrush. A nice boost to our momentum, but barely noticeable. You may not see yourself getting many uses out of this <Malice unless you're very cooldown attentive.
Level 20:
“Frug knows punies need help. Frug didn't think punies needed dis much help.”
It is our job to never go down, unless it is in a situation that is easy to manage with our body soaking hits while your allies clean up (Getting gunned down by las crews that stood up after you charged them is literally fine if you soak the ranged fire and get rezzed easily. It is always better than your Psyker or Veteran getting downed to ranged chip damage.) Bleed + Damage resistance will regularly be at max stacks, as you should be playing in the thick of things and heavy attacking to sustain yourself and CC choke points. This buff is also constantly active with our bleed build, whereas our other two options are Niche at best. If for some reasons I haven't convinced you that bleed is the way to go, then flavor these feats to taste.
Level 25:
Nothing to talk about here, raging bull is the only feat that does anything for an Ogryn here. Full charging your heavy attacks is suicide, and we're not a preacher. We actually don't like getting hit, especially not by things that we are struggling to kill in the first place. Take the stacking damage bonus after cleaving and watch your damage skyrocket.
Level 30:
You're now a decorated war hero. The Emp'rah's Own. A chosen, disposable meat shield at the front of every engagement, gnashing and smashing your way through hordes of thousands upon thousands heretics while your sniveling runty friends stand behind you and gawp as you live and slaughter against all odds. All 3 of our capstone options are good. and pretty powerful when put in perspective, all of them bringing a preference to the table. The most Game Changing Feat at this level is Unstoppable, letting you knock over Ogryn's with your charge, which is insanely helpful on Heresy and Damnation.to give your team the much needed time they need to nuke down the massive health bars you can potentially be dealing with, as well as Doubling your gap closing range.
Non-Stop Violence, however, can turn a losing fight into a winning fight, or keep you ahead of sustain. When your toughness is gone and there are no baddies nearby to wallop, you will feel your momentum slow to a halt. Without unstoppable, bullrushing into a group of Ogryn will still CC a few of them and any smaller enemies around them will still be sent flying.
Bullgore could be cool, but I haven't tested it. Let me know if it's nutty.
