Great team support AND great damage.  Most utility / multipurpose vet build I've had a lot of fun playing with.  (731 hours played at the time of writing this).  You can shred pretty much anything with your gun alone, and you bring a lot of team support with your shout (including clutch revives), your targeting for damage, and med kits/ammo crates are 100% improved with you simply existing.

Consider taking a +1 wound trinket over Max Health if you find yourself going down often (when people can revive you).  Personally I find if I go down, I rarely get back up, so I don't really use +1 wounds much anymore.

Recon Lasgun outputs decent damage through burns and relatively good ammo consumption rate.  If you switch to melee often enough you won't run out of ammo.  Don't use your gun to clear basic hordes.  I see way too many people try to do this.  Your gun is to eliminate ranged units, elites, specials and bosses, not poxwalkers.  You become an ammo burden to your team if you just spray all day.

Power Sword with full Cycler and Slaughterer is  still the GOAT.  If you don't have one, get one eventually and use a chainsword in the meantime.  I use +Carapace on mine, but you can use +Maniac or +Unyielding too.  When faced with mixed hordes, use the little guys to ramp up Slaughterer before going aggressively for the heavy armor.

You can go Longshot into Exhilarating Takedown if you prefer over Close Order Drill into Confirmed Kill.  I prefer the +1 Stamina over +5% health and I stick to my team like glue making Close Order Drill pay off easier.

Krak grenades are great, but the stagger and quantity as well as bleed stacks on the Frag make them more multi-purpose.  Reviving if your shout is down, staggering large groups of mixed hordes, staggering bosses, etc.  I use Krak on my "Melee Maelstrom Build" which I will put up soon, but Frag is better general use.

I prefer reviving downed allies with Voice of Command over giving them fleeting 50 toughness.  When it was 100 it was worth.  Now its not.  In high difficulty missions 50 toughness buys you very little, whereas having a clutch shout revive can save an entire run.  Consider using it against bosses and hordes when your team is at full health (not at risk of being downed), however for the 10% damage increase.

ALTERNATIVES:  Replace "For the Emperor" with "Target Down!" for more sustain/toughness regen (you and your team).

Replace "For the Emperor" AND "Duty and Honour" for "Longshot" and "Exhilirating Takedown" leading to more sustained toughness regen and damage through the use of long range and weakspot kills.
