Cadia fell… never again. They don't know what fury they unleashed.
Yes… a shotgun. Seems odd since are a “sharpshooter” class, but I saw the feat Duck and Dive and saw potential as an aggressive shooter. With shotty, we reload quicker than other classes, eliminating the need to take up a perk slot for reloading. Next, we have much more movement capability with Duck and Dive, so dodge and sprint all you like to help dodge bullets. The alt fire helps immensely with huge stagger and weak spot hitting, and innate shotgun stagger already exists. Most importantly, we look like we are risking our lives, when a well placed shotgun shell through a gunner or rager gives a lot of toughness return. And if that isn't enough, in a pinch, Volley Fire actually becomes a survival tool, giving quick and on-demand toughness and reloading our shotgun. It feels amazing in application, looks strange on paper.
“Devil's Claw” is a backup if we run out of ammo, or need to wave clear wide hordes. Nothing interesting here, just standard hack and slash.
All feats were explained in the shotty explanation, the only other one is grenade generation, which is nice for you and the team!
EDIT: Description changes, including correction of toughness generation.
EDIT 2: Changed Confirmed Kill to Exhilarating Takedown; description changed to reflect that.
Tools Of War Update: Because the purpose of the shotgun is quick threat cleaning, the new Agripinaa creates quicker, tighter shots tot he head, and a slug for stagger or headshots. Due to ease of headshots, this boosts the use of our toughness generating talent.
EDIT 3: Going back to Confirmed Kill due to consistency.
