I run a +3 stamina curio, however I would recommend a +1 Wound curio for new players. Stamina and toughness regen on all curios highly recommend,  3rd perk personal preference, I added some of my favorite choices.

Lacerate is the only must have weapon perk IMO, everything else can be replaced with personal preference.

The skill tree is my preference for a very agressive playstyle. Until you get comfortable with the weapons and the playstyle, you can opt out of taking the left path at the end of the tree, and instead grab all the nodes on the right(Enduring Faith, Swift Certainty and the keystone nodes), as well as Fortitude in Fellowship at the beginning of the middle tree.

Enjoy slaying heretics!
