Ogryn have big stick, Ogryn do big bonk.

Bully Club

Perks:

  • Elite - helps dealing with all the tougher enemies you can't one shot. Maniac is not great, doesn't give any significant breakpoints, heavy1 will one shot almost all specials, and 2 shot Mutants with or without. Can be replaced by Crusher/Unyielding (see below)
  • Flak - a lot of the enemies you can't one shot are in the Flak Category. Crusher or Unyielding are fine alternatives particularly if you are on Scab only or Monsters Maestrom.

Blessings:

  • Skullcrusher - very nice general damage increase
  • Thunderous - While we do max damage to most enemies, this will let us 3 shot crushers using bleed, and will increase our damage vs other enemies even if it is more minor.

Heavy Stubber - Great for dealing with specials, elites at range, and mixed hordes you may struggle with using Club.
Perks:

  • Maniac - Ranged specials are the primary target for this, so more damage against them is nice.
  • Crit Chance - Gives very little damage, even with the

Blessings:

  • Blaze Away - Best damage blessing Gorgonum can stack easily.
  • Charmed Reload - Currently bugged(or stealth nerfed) and doesn't give back

HUGE
Currently Ogryn has a base of 36% (20% TDR and 20% health resist, which stacks with itself for damage taken to toughness) All the toughness reduction nodes stack additively (30% TDR), and also stacks additively with Feels no Pain for 55% TDR. Together being a passive 71.2% TDR which is crazy.
With 60% from Delight in Destruction 88.5% and just over 90% with Implacable

Other things to be aware of - SkullCrusher increases bleed damage, as does Thunderous  and Bleed will stack both blessings. If you heavy attack and stagger and enemy, bleed will put the second 4 stacks of skull crusher, and will apply 4. This means your ult will stack both completely on all enemies you hit.

With the change to Ogryn crit chance (5% > 2.5%) the base crit chance of the Stubbers at -2%, and the nerf or bug in Charmed Reload only giving half the stated amount, Massacre becomes very important for keeping our heavy stubber from reloading - It is only good for the heavy stubber as Clubs crit damage is almost nothing.  So if you replace the Ranged weapon replace this Talent.

A single elite kill doubles your Gorgonum damage vs Carapace making it very viable for killing Crushers once Dominate is proc'd - and greatly increases vs Flak and Unyielding. Dominate also makes you have perfect damage vs most armor types even at Far, making it into a great sniper weapon.

Slam allows us to heavy into slap to stagger bosses on headshots, letting us easily apply Skullcrusher to them even without ult. Soften Them Up doesn't apply on ranged attacks anyway, and Club kills most things in 1-2 hits regardless.

Rock counts as Melee damage, dealing double to almost all specials, letting you body shot everything but trappers. Also body shots Gunners (even dreg gunners) and shotgunners. Head shots on bosses will stagger them, letting you proc SkullCrusher, or chain Rocks can easily ledge bosses.
