Lower damage Vet, built around supporting and toughness now that Shout of Command is very good at both things.

Rashad - Fantastic combat axe, decent finesse for a build with lots of criticals.

Perks:

  • Flak - We have seen these before, and know why they are here
  • Maniac - Can be replaced with Unarmored, or even Carapace depending what you want to kill.

Blessings:

  • Decimator - still the most damage you can get in the blessing slot. HeadTaker will give less damage but is more consistent.
  • Brutal Momentum - since you will one shot all things in a mob, this can kill as many units as it can reach/headshot. Decapitator is a fine replacement if you want higher single target damage instead.

Braced Autogun - larger mag, more ammo, just a great gun.

Perks:

  • Flak - For killing ranged elites.
  • Maniac - For killing ranged specials. nothing exciting here.

Blessings:

  • Speedload - Increased up time, making sure you can use the gun when you need. Stacks do not last long - DeathSpitter and Stripped down are fine replacements.
  • FireFrenzy - Best damage option on the gun Close range damage is max at 8m, and falls gradually the further you are away from them. Deals the same as Deathspitter at 11m, less past that.

Unfortunately we need to take the useless Aura due to Vet tree being riddled with talent taxes.
Voice of Command got countless buffs, decreased CD, increased duration on toughness, more enemies are knocked down. The knockdown radius is still 6m, but it will now affect all melee elites and monsters, making even that aspect worth while.
Tactical Awareness means you will be using this ability very regularly, so you can keep Close Quarter Kill Zone up

Charismatic is a very legitimate option here, making sure your allies are able to get the toughness.
Iron will is quite strong but can be replaced with Volley Adept or Out For Blood or Keystone Modifiers
The keystone modifiers feel pretty meh for Weapon Specialist though

The Crit portion for ranged Weapon Specialist only applies to the FIRST shot made. So anything with consecutive crits (Autoguns), very effective crits like Flechette Shotguns, or Revolvers are the best options, and large single shots like Plasmagun. Always Prepared is a good upgrade if you are running weapons with lower mag totals like Revolver and Shotguns.

Revolver and Plasma generally are incredibly good on this build as well with high one shot damage and near immediate swap speeds. Plasma gets an increased rate of fire, but it doesn't appear to affect charge rate so it doesn't change the damage/breakpoints.

Skirmisher stacks 1 per second while sprinting, and duration is very short making it very meh. Exploit weakness isn't amazing on combat axe but it is way more consistent.

Onslaught only works on ranged attacks, with Krak nades and Combat Axe we don't need a lot more armor damage. Braced Auto II works great with it though
