Description
Become the absolute juggernaut, club swingin', ripper shootin' Ogryn you were born to be with this Hard-Carry Clubber/Ripper build.
Waltz into hordes of gunners, Ripper blazing, and come out completely unscathed. Be your team's anchor, asserting your will on any and all targets with the swing of your club. Cohesion bonuses? Who needs 'em! Restore your health the Ogryn way, with every swing of your club and barrage of your gun. Solo any boss with ease, even Daemonhosts, drawing aggro with taunt (+25% damage boost) from Loyal Protector.
- Mk I Club
- Regain up to 32% toughness via Smash 'Em + Confident Strike on single target heavy attacks
- Overhead club strikes always hits single targets, always heals
- Try to hit single targets with Horizontal heavy attacks when in need of toughness
- Bleed stacks for Hordes via Batter + Delight in Destruction
- Not great for horde clear but allows you to hold your own
- Solo Melee Bosses with ease
- Takes practically no damage vs. Plague Ogryn & Chaos Spawn
- Regains toughness faster than they can do damage
- Can tank Daemonhost, but Corruption still gets thru
- BoN is a bit tricky, usually better to shoot instead of melee to avoid getting eaten
- Takes practically no damage vs. Plague Ogryn & Chaos Spawn
- Regain up to 32% toughness via Smash 'Em + Confident Strike on single target heavy attacks
- Ripper VI
- Mk VI is super underrated - arguably the best version for % of magazine blessings like Inspiring Barrage, Blaze Away and Cavalcade.
- Abuse Inspiring Barrage + Blaze Away to regain toughness with every volley and draw gunfire for team
- Toughness Regen + Damage increases with each volley, you're practically invincible to gunners
- Stagger priority targets (trappers, dogs, etc.) with Ripper + follow-up with melee
- High Collateral on Ripper VI helps a lot
- ALWAYS prioritize RANGE when picking your Ripper. 80% Range always preferred.
Take every single toughness talent + toughness perk & blessing. Your large toughness 'battery' makes you practically invincible as long as you regen via single target heavy attacks with club and timing ripper shots as you take damage. Even though you don't need toughness regen from Coherency, resist the urge to run in by yourself; you may feel invincible, but still need to be a team player for maximum performance. Teammates will be weaker without their coherency bonuses. Try to hold your charge and use defensively, to get out of sticky situations and/or get back into coherency with teammates. Get used to the flow of your 'dance' to maximize performance; it's usually swing + dodge, or shoot + dodge, then you can weave together swing + dodge, (swap) shoot + dodge (swap) and repeat as needed. You can dodge both melee and ranged attacks. Dodging + regen from melee & ranged fire is what maximizes performance with this build.
