The purpose of this build is to always have an answer to any variety of enemies in any given level.
First the dueling saber is a decent finesse weapon but when you add all the extra crit , dmg increases it becomes a real monster of a weapon capable of two tapping crushers hitting the weakspot with the help of enough DD(distrupt destiny) along side uncanny strikes. All the bonuses you're getting from the build enchances the saber as you're melee answer to everything, any elite can be easily be taken down by a few heavies depending on how much buffs you have or if gaze is up and uncanny strikes means you can deal with carapace handily. Light spam is your horde clearing and the lengthy dodges you get from the saber should make most encounters managble. The void staff shares the perk of being an all purpose staff and having almost no drop off dmg compared to most ranged weapons. It can pirece through enemies and bulwark shields, able to stagger everything sort of monsters on top of its potential dmg vs everything sort of monstrosities. You're ranged answer to anything that assail can't kill or target.Assail is assail, until the next patch it pretty much handles everything sort of caparace enemies and after it'll still share the same role but less spammy. Distupt destiny as it is currently is really funky since it targets most elites and shooters sort of orgyns and not pox walkers making getting stacks harder then it should be but the buffs once you get rolling is very impactful when you hit over 5 stacks, lots of enemies tend to die to 1/2 heavies in the weakspot for the saber and one charged ball with the void staff are 15 so having more stacks is typically isnt valueable comapred to having them not fall off since you lose all DD stacks if it times out.
Scier's gaze in this build is pretty much only used with the saber. The peril buildup and trading peril transfer for flurry makes gaze purely for when you need to kill elites close to you or killing monstrosities. The additon of DD stacks and if you build up gaze long enough you're dmg shoots up real high while gaze's buffs are still up. In a ideal situation your monstrosity dmg as long as your hitting its weakpoint can put hammer priests to shame, even more so if you're critting on top of all that.
TL:DR
Saber good finesse weapon with the buffs from the build vs all targets. Current void staff is good even without DD vs most enemies. Assial is Assail and this build is largely high peril/crit focused. You can trade out gaze with shield if you value more a defensive ability over it.
