7.5-15% Weak Spot Damage. Weakspot Kills also ignore Enemy Hit Mass.
Up to 5-20% Strength based on the charge time of your heavy attacks. Stacks 3 times.
5-8% Strength for every shot fired during continuous fire. Stacks 5 times.
18-30% Strength for 5s when every pellet in a shot hits the same enemy.
Are you sick of some plagued puny slapping around your little uns? Do you think big packs of enemies are annoying and should go away? Then Dr Mungo has the persap - preskru - perscrap - cure for you!
This build is about turning heretics into a fine mist and punching traitors in the face. It works at all difficulties and is not super blessing dependant outside of the shovel. If that sounds like your cup of corpse starch then read on!
From the top:
Brute Brainer Latrine Shovel: This shovel does what it says on the cover. Thrust combined with heavy attacks deliver a huge amount of punishment to the cranium of anything getting in your way. Brutal momentum provides the punchthrough you need to lop off the heads of several poxwalkers. You have two easy combos to master. Light attack into heavy attack is your horde clearing combo. Heavy attack into uppercut is your big boi lobotomizer. I'm not sure about specific breakpoints yet, so I just threw carapace and sprint efficiency because I like them.
Lorentz Kickback: The blunderbuss of every pirates dream. This portable flak cannon will turn everything unarmoured into paste, while everything else will bow down and grovel to you from the floor. Take whatever blessings you want. I go with blaze away and full bore because I don't have to think about them. They just do stuff while I'm shooting. Perks are similar. I don't know specific breakpoints yet so I've just thrown on flak and maniac to increase it's effective kill range against shooters and specials.
Curios: Honestly these are personal preference. I like stacking HP because it works so well on ogryn and allows you to spend it as a resource. Sniper resistance is good because it will let you completely ignore a sniper shot as you revive that zealot which just got yeet into a pack of poxwalkers and skeet shot mid air.
Talents:
Reloaded and Ready: You reload a lot, this is a no brainer.
Lynchpin: You should never be out of coherency with this build so I like to pick this up.
Heavyweight: Too good to not take in any build
Furious/Best defence/Smash em: Your murder them in melee and stay alive perks.
Rock: You are great at killing lots of things in an area. You are not great at killing things at range. Introduce them to rock and it will fix that problem.
Slam: Soften them up is the better perk in this line, but we want rock so we take this.
Point blank barrage: We mostly get this because we want the perks underneath it. This is your panic button to remove anything in front of you. Fire rounds are great for dealing with most things. Take the rending shots if you just want to blast crusher packs without thinking about it.
Pacemaker: This perk is made for kickback and rumbler, take it.
Ammo stash: More shooty more fun.
Hard knocks: This perk works wonders with kickback. Blast it into a crowd then smite something with your shovel. Same thing if a crusher appears. Shoot him in the face, then smash him in the head while hes down.
Stay close: A nice boost for your team.
Attention seeker (Optional): A nice bit of extra control for those pesky enemies that just won't leave people alone.
To stubborn to die: It's ok, but what we really want is.
No stopping me!: Lets you always land that big shovel hit.
Implaceable: Nice bonus
Heavy hitter: This will really help ramp the damage up on the shovel.
Just getting started (Optional): Nice boost to attack speed.
Brutish momentum (Optional): Lets you keep heavy hitter up easier.
Feel free to swap out the optional talents with anything you think is more your jam.
Playstyle:
This is how I like to play this build. Pick one person on your team. Ideally some squishy backliner like a psyker or shooty vet. Your entire job is now to keep that person alive. You aren't here to be the biggest damage dealer or ultimate special killer. But man is anyone that approaches your little buddy going to have a bad time. Blast anything that comes close with your mincemeat maker. Perform brain surgery on anything that survives that with your shovel. Introduce problems too far away to your pet rock collection. Finally, when things get a bit spicy. Pop point-blank barrage and just start blasting.
Final tips:
Be aware of how big you are. If you are in a corridor, stay behind your team or stick to the sides. Dodging left and right in front of a horde with a knife zealot works well. Dodging left and right in front of a horde with an ogryn makes your ranged players sad and mad. You are a unit. More often then not a block and shove will better solve your problem then a dodge and slash.
Blast away but be aware of how much ammo you are using. If you are in an ammo heavy team, take it a bit easier and use your shovel a bit more often.
