5-8% Strength for 4.5s on Kill. Stacks 5 times.
5-8% toughness on Chained Hit.
18-30% Strength for 5s when every pellet in a shot hits the same enemy.
5-8% Strength for every shot fired during continuous fire. Stacks 5 times.
I have no idea, but it does. Your shotgun has INSANE range, you become a sniper killer and anything else squishy half way across the map, and anything not fully armored dies on the 2nd shot when they've gotten closer.
I'm on the fence regarding going for crit or weakspot dmg on shotgun, but for now I'll go with crit. Crit feels pretty unreliable for this, would rather have more % dmg on the shotty but alot of the times you won't hit weakspots, but rather go for body shots.
Spam shotgun and looting ammo, that's what you'll be doing. It's that simple.
Use your ability to instantly reload shotgun and when you need the 30% rending dmg against carapace (crusher ogryns). Your shotgun only staggers carapace enemies unless you use your ultimate which turns the carapace into goo.
Occasionally use your melee weapon if you wanna save some ammo. Often you'll just spam your shotgun special attack (the sweep) against weaklings to stagger them and regain toughness.
I highly recommend not using this build in a team that slurps ammo, you're a greedy big boi and want the majority of ammo for yourself.
Blaze away is hard to stack with the shotgun, but when you spam fire shotgun without going into ADS you'll be able to get those stacks. Especially during point-blank barrage.
I discovered how strong the shotgun was while running a heavy attack build, it might even be stronger with the Heavy Hitter keystone as you can spam out 5 heavy attacks to increase the shotgun's power by +25%.
But for now I believe lucky bullet build with shotgun is stronger giving you more shots and whenever it triggers you don't have to reload the shotgun, increasing your firing rate. After further testing, heavy hitter is a pain in the ass to keep alive as well when you just wanna shoot and scoot all the time.
